You are quite mistaken. The first most expensive thing I own is my life.

Probably my file server. When all was said and done it cost close to 4 grand. That was with only 4 hard drives, other drives were added over time. I still have a few empty slots so I can expand raid arrays in the future. I'm kind of at a point where my data needs arn't really growing much though so it's actually been quite a while since I've needed to expand.

If I was to count the whole server room as one object, then that would make my car #3.

business including truck. House and business are close on total price paid but the house is worth more now. Well maybe not right this second its still under construction.

Value plummets on the 3rd with my 3k car.

if the business doesn't count 4th would be the honda inverter generator I paid $100 for and got running or a gun. Paid $800 for the bed which beats my most expensive gun but I'd have to imagine the gun is worth way more after 4 years. The honda gen is 2k brand new though only got $175 and some time in it.

Home Theater. If I had to pick one component it would be the projector which was $2800 when I got it, although now can be found for under $2k I think.

If I count speaker "sets" then my front 3 LCR were $4400, used.
