What's the best AIR CPU cooler??

Just wondering what everyone uses to cool their OC CPU's and what kind of temps they get under load????

I'm using an Alpha PAL8045 with a Papst Ultra-High Output fan (80mm, 46.5cfm @ 37db).
My XP 1600+ oc'ed to 1533 Mhz get 42c under load (running Seti and 3dMark 2001 at the same time).

Why does it matter what the sound pressure is?

Anyway, I'd say either the Swiftech MCX-462 or the Alpha PAL 8045. Swiftech beats it out in most tests, but the Alpha is less expensive.

The Alpha PAL8045 is a awesome. I'm running a very quiet fan on it now (Panaflo L1A) and it's keeping my 1600+ @ 1.53GHz very cool.

The Swiftech and the Alpha are best, but the Millenium Glaciator II offers comparable performance and combines it with silence.

Ive got a 1400@1533 Tbird. With my SK-6 and Delta i range between 110 and 120F, depending on the temperature of the room (70-80F).

NO, you are wrong. This Speeze HSF is nothing like the Just Cooler P-8000. The speeze, when compared to the P-8000 is useless.
Here is the P-8000. Looks and acts nothing alike. 80x80x25 fan instead of the 60mm fan of the speeze. Moves 38cfm of air instead of the useless amount of air it moves. The sound difference is remarkable too.

Just bought a glaciator II. I'm looking for a new case as well. Was considering the Evercase from newegg. Does anyone know if there are any problems putting the GII + ECS K7S5A into this case? Friend of mine mentioned I should be careful that the HSF doesn't hit a drive bay in mid tower cases. Is this really a concern?

I've had both an alpha and a swifty and I preffer the Alpha no to mention if you wanted to put a bigger fan on it the Alpha is the way to go.

swifties are nice though better quality worse price!

If you want absolute performance for aircoolers regardless of fan noise, it is the Swiftech MCX462. I have never read a review comparing the Alpha and Swiftech where the Swiftech did not win. Hope this helps.
