The southbridge will often need a smaller heatsink than the north..

I actually just use the smallest socket A/370 cooler I can find, then epoxy it to the northbridge.

Of course you can, but it's not necessary. The southbridge doesn't get so hot that it needs a heatsink, much less a hsf.
The reason the northbridge gets hot is that it connects the cpu, ram and southbridge. Cpu and ram need a fast connection = hot, that's why an improved northbridge can make a chipset much faster (the only difference between KT266 and KT266A is a btter norhtbridge).
The southbridge connects the pci-slots, ide controller and ports, and there aren't nearly as much data passed between those and thus it doens't get so hot and don't need cooling at all.
You can see it on the mobos: all modern mobos at least have a heatsink on the northbridge and many also a fan while no mobos have even a heatsink on the southbridge.

I just got Crystal Orb to replace the heatsink on the northbridge of my MSI K7T Pro2 RU mobo. Had a BlueOrb but the holes on it didn't match the holes around the northbridge so I needed some thermaltape and the only tape I could get was from a Netsshop and it would take some days to arrive, so I just got a CrystalOrb from a local shop instead.

I'm just gonna use it and see if I can oc higher. Will post my results if I get more out of it.

the epoxy and paste come with the heatsink direct from zalman. every place i've seen includes it because they have no reason not too. i bought mine here it was only 9.95 and the shipping was average.

Have had my Crytstal Orb now for more than a week, and it has helped, but not THAT much. My mobo (MSI K7T Pro2 RU) only has a heatsink on the northbridge stock, so the improved performance might just come from the fan.
I could crash the machine before when running 1607Mhz if I tried hard, now it's 100% stable, might be the edtra burn-in time though. I've been able to oc my gsx-card higher too and as this also should put extra stress on the northbridge it shows that the hsf has helped.
