yea the new morpheus sucks now, it was awesome, but i decided to try KazaA, its awesome! its just like the old morpheus and it has more files...... ive gotten just about all of my songs from them, dont try winmx, go kazaa, you will be happy!
I'm currently using XoloX, which is highly rated by zeropaid. It's a nice gnutella client which supports downloads across multiple hosts, and no spyware. It takes a while for it to start, but then works OK.
Um, I use Morpheus (the new) occasionally for some things. For music I mainly use Grokster, uses the same network as Kazaa just it can download higher than 128Kb songs And then I also use IRC and some webboards for most of my stuff. Far more reliable, less likely to get cutoff midtransfer and nicer peeps
If you used Morpheus, then Grokster is ideal, since its interface is close to identical. The performance is the same as morpheus. I tried Kazaa first (very recently), but it was buggy and kept crashing.
definitely use KazaaLite, it rocks ..
not only that, but there are spyware free versions of AudioGalaxy (the BEST for finding rare mp3's) & a "Clean" version of LimeWire (not bad, haven't used it much)

Dundain, there is always to go around of this problem...
lets say :
My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Kazaa
hmmm... what do we have here??? Ah ha! LimitBitrate Dword... Hmmm insteresting.... Let's see what will happen if I change the 1 value to a 0??? hehehee
Kazaa Lite is great because it gets rid of the spyware, but the download speeds are pretty slow and I have yet to see downloads from multiple users that I saw in the previous version of Morpheus. Grokster is also pretty good, and it has the same interface as Kazaa. I use WinMX for MP3s because it allows you to search for much more songs. Direct Connect is also a good file sharing program, but some of the hubs (rooms) that you connect to require you to have a certain amount of files in order to share.
anyone have any ideas about bearshare? I use it and its merely "ok". Most of the files never finish downloading because "more sources needed" and the host never signs back on.
