Dell just came out with their new Dell Digital Jukebox model (supposedly the IPOD) killer.

I think it looks much uglier than the IPOD but its cheaper.

I'd rather have a cheaper unit that plays for 20+ hours (Dell) than an overpiced one that .. has a calendar?
I realize that ipod has some great features but if you don't need anything special what's wrong with the Dell?

Nothing is wrong with it. It's just not what SickBeast asked for - "the best". The Dell MP3 player is just like their machines. Perfectly mediocore for a better than average price. Nothing "best" about good enough for most at a price low enough for most.

Ok so the IPOD looks best. But it costs more. For the price it looks like the Dell is better.. Anyone company could make a god-like mp3 player but if it costs $900 who is going to buy it? Price is important when considering best.

Look at the specs on all of them, the Nomad has the best sound quality. Apple doesn't even tell you what the signal-to-noise ratio is on the iPod.
