Hey here?s the scoop. My sister and brother-in-law?s computer is getting old. Basicly the only thing I can take to the new one is hard drive (20 gig), CD (40x), PCI modem and keyboard, mouse and monitor. I have a stick of 128 pc100 cas 3 I?ve been looking at the new mb?s using the new km 133 chipset. Chaintech, ECS, Gigabyte. Any one use these or have experience with these or any others (I?m sure there?s others). Overclocking won?t be an issue. Also seen ASUS?s based on the SIS chip set not sure whether that would let me use the pc 100 though.
Anywho any suggestions would be helpful.

P.S. also seen one from Amptron but think that?s the ECS.

I bought the ECS K7SEM at the computershow last weekend. Heard a lot of good things about the sis730 chipset. This one guy there was buying all of them. He said he had good results building computers around this chipset for his customers. It has onboard vid/sound/lan support for 266bus for K7 Durons/Atlons, 2dims, 2pci/1amr/1cnr/ and one agp4x slot. Haven't tried it out yet, I'll tell you how it goes.

Also if your looking for KM133
Go for the MS-6340 for supreme stability!

I love this K7SEM!!!! It's very easy to setup. This is my second computer I have built. It's just a matter of putting your peripherals and installing the drivers, which is all automatic. I say, I had it up and running in about 1 hour, and this is with win98 install time. The onboard video is excellent, plays my divx movies with out a hiccup. Onboard sound is great. Onboard realtek works great. 2 fan headers, and has some basic overclocking features via fsb speeds. wOOhOO!! Im running an Duron 800 and has not crashed yet in 12hours i've been running it.

Cost me
$66 for the board
$46 for the Duron

Other Peripherals:
30gig Western Digital
52x Generic CDROM
Flooy Drive
250watt powersupply
Global mATX case
Thermoengine cooling
2x 80mm case fans
Quiet Motha!

I just built a MSI 6340M for myself at work. Great board. MSI still reliable. It has built in audio and video, has 1 agp, 3 pci i think, and 2 dimm. I grabbed one for $80 or so.
