You know you play too many video games when you understand that post...

What's scarier is when you haven't played any of those games, and you understand that post

Star Control 2 was definitely one of the best of all time. I played that for hours and hours, I was so drawn into the game, the storyline, making my ship better and mining ores and shizzle. And those sexy Syreens. Yowza.

Next in line we have Vampire: The Masquerade. For those who don't know it's an RPG, same point and click style as Diablo, but, the plot was way better, the videos better, and it was one of the earlier ones with 3d graphics (and really good ones at that). Music was good, sound, story, graphics, gameplay, characters, levels, weapons. I can't wait to play the next one. I hear it'll use the halflife 2 engine? I hope the style of play isn't first person tho, they should keep the same point and click interface.

Daggerfall - Morrowind was the sequel to Daggerfall. Daggerfal pretty much had graphics like doom2, it was first person, sprite based graphics. The world was huge, you could go borrow money in a bank in one country and never go back there, and go spend it on weapons, a house or boat in another country, without fearing the law. Every time you get attacked by a vampire or a werewolf you have a small chance of contracting vampirism or lupinism (is this even a word?). So I would get my heal spell ready, put on the best armor I could find, and get health potions, and sit there and let the vamps and werewolves hit me, and then then heal as much as possible just so I could get the increased stats. But then again vampire and werewolf hunters would come after you. As a wolf you had to kill innocent people every moon, and a vamp couldn't go out during day or go into holy ground.

Command & Conquer (original) - my first RTS, it was great. THe music was dope and the videos were cool for their time. The game play was fun once I got used to it. So many strategies. Also happens to be one of the first games I played multiplayer with. I was in high school and had no network card (that was unheard of to me back then), and so I would play with my 9600 baud, and then I really had it all once I got my 14.4 (with compression!!!!). Introduce BBS system days here.

Starcraft - I probably played this longer than any other game. Single player missions were pretty fun, but multiplayer gave this game longevity. Still once in a while go on B.net but I get my ass beat, that's 6 years.

Starcraft -

All the ones you enjoyed so much... you can't go back to them. We expect so much from a game now that when you try those games that you enjoyed for weeks and months they now just seem dull. Not that there aren't good games still released, but if a new game came out that I enjoyed as much as one of my favourites below, I'd be damn happy

Flight / Space: Gunship 2000 / X-wing
FPS: Doom / Terra Nova
RTS: C&C / Warcraft2
Sport: Speedball 2
Strategy: Colonisation

And if looking glass studios reformed and released a sequal to Terra Nova, I'd be in heaven. That game was so far ahead of its time...

Street Fighter on PC is a bad joke. Fighting games = CONSOLE ONLY.

You have been told.

There are a few games I load into the computer about once a year or so.

Dungeon Keeper (the original) - love this game, if you've never played it, get it on Ebay for like $5, it is incredible. The second one is OK too, but the first is great.

Command and Conquer (the original) - I think the game got too crazy in later versions (still fun to play, but too many different units), the first one is still a lot of fun.

Doom 2 - This was the first game I played against an actual human opponent, and the first game that would actually get my heart beating faster just by playing it. Can't wait for Doom 3.

Starcraft - Great game, Brood War was fun too, surprised there hasn't been a Starcraft II yet, there is a hell of a fan base.
