IL2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles

A close second is Homeworld

followed by Deus Ex

I will get HW2 soon, and DX2 is also due soon.

But I think that NOTHING will ever dethrone IL2:FB until someone makes a WWII or WWI flight sim with better graphics (not hard) better flight models(nearly impossible) more planes to choose from (hard) and better multiplayer (not sure if it is possible to top the multiplay experience of IL2:FB . . . )


I'll pick up HL2 when it comes, too.

Final Fantasy series

You people are too damn graphics happy. How many people said Max Payne 2?? That has been out for a week and a half? I beat that game in about 8 hours of playtime and there is virtually no replay value and absolutely no multiplayer. How can that be the best game ever? And Myst? Nice friggin slideshow of a game. I think my neighbors vacation slides were a better game. bla bla bla I'm stopping before I have another coronary.

yeah I know it's a crappy ending in max payne 2 and it's not long to but is a fun game to play!

Mobil 1 Rally Championship (http://pc.ign.com/articles/163/163586p1.html)

This game still has the most realistic driving experience of any Rally or WRC game on any platform. I've played ALL of the rally games available (International Rally, Rally Trophy, CMR 1/2/3, WRC, V-rally, etc). I especially like this game with my Actlabs 6speed shifter and (2.25 turns to lock.. much more realistic) steering wheel with clutch/brake/accel pedals.

Ultima Online!!1! it absorbed a good 2 years of my life initially and I've played it off and on for 5 years since then...I've played almost every MMORPG thats come out for varying lengths of time, and except for the Darktide server of AC, none of them compare.


As for single player games...Civ II was the reason I got a computer. Well civ net actually, but then civ 2 came out

while its hard to say given all the different categories of games in existance, i would have to say MYST had the biggest impact on me as a PC user. i was completely engulfed by it when it first came out.
