Probably my car (2012 Chevy Sonic LTZ hatchback). I bought it new last May and paid cash so I've been free and clear on it since day one. It gets decent gas mileage, it's comfortable, and it's small enough to be easy to drive and park anywhere.

Oh this is supposed to be of all time? I thought it was just for 2013. :hmm:

I dunno... when I read title I thought it was just 2013 but then the OP said "chair I got 6 years ago" so then my brain was full of fuck and now I don't know what's happening

On the plus side I bought my house this year so my answer is right regardless

I thought "you've ever made" was pretty self explanatory.

Probably my 97 Jeep. I bought it used in 2000, and have put minimal money into it. The biggest expense was probably a fuel pump. It's getting to the point where I'm keeping it together with hacks, but I'm interested in seeing how long it'll go.

Ever? I can't really think of one. I certainly don't have much that's lasted all of my years.

Been through numerous phones/laptops/desktops, so those really aren't "best".
House took a loss in the market, so there goes that.
Car? I guess, my Toyota Yaris has been pretty stable machine, probably get another 15 years out of it.
Over all, probably my Carvin 6-String Fretless bass.

damn you and your 600 post lead.

Yeah that's right.

I also should have picked my projector, I like it far more than my toothbrush. Not sure how I forgot about it since I use it every single day!

I bought a serving tray for $3 from an estate sale across the street, and a big crystal bowl to go with it for another $3. I looked it up on ebay and the tray goes for $40 a pop since it's coated with real silver. The crystal bowl has a silver rim and is worth a similar value; so basically $80 worth of stuff for $6!

About $2.5k worth of car audio stuff installed into my 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer I bought last December. Saved up for 2.5 years and paid cash for all of it. It's fun writing a check for a new car!

Custom Wavefront PRK. $4k or so and best money I ever spent. Vision is at 20/15 with little to no side effects.

My house - great price for it; it cost only a small fraction of our combined annual salary, and is worth quite a bit more (though I've put quite a bit of money into it.) Not for sale though; unlikely I'll ever move to a new house.

For smaller things, the cider press I got a couple years ago. Paid $125 IIRC. I've seen similar ones for a couple thousand, as antiques. It's from the 1800's. I've seen some models that sell today for hundreds more than what I paid - and they suck compared to mine. Mine has a much better output. Closing in on 70 gallons of fresh cider this season, at a total cost of $zero to make. 8 bushels of apples on the porch, and at least 3 more loaded trees that I plan to get apples from (about 8 more bushels) = 48 more gallons on the way.

Yeah. That was another thing I purchased this year, but I'm still not done. Just before the house, I put in about $2500 of equipment, a couple alpine amps (mono and 4way digital), 12" Alpine Type R sub, and 2 sets of 2-way 6x9's. One of the amps went bad so getting that replaced under warranty, and decided to get the Alpine DSP added as well. Waiting for the parts now to finish the install. Thinking of getting the trunk dynamatted, but we'll see. I've already spent too much.
