What's the best RAM for a DFI Lanparty UT/A64?

This mobo is single channel only, so does that mean a slower 1 gig stick would be better than two faster 512mb sticks? However, lot of people swear that low latency 2-2-2-x is what you need for all A64 setups. Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything close to that in one gig RAM sticks so I'm not sure what to get. I'm also looking toward the future when I may want to upgrade to 3gig memory. Rather than fleabay the two 512mb sticks it would be easier to just buy two more 1 gig sticks. What should I do? One stick or two?

Crucial Ballistix. and why would you EVER need 3 gigs? also your not gonna run 3 gigs on a 754 platform. at least not on DDR400 more like DRR333

Cool, I can finally log in again. I'm thinking I need at least 2 gigs ram to run Everquest II. Three might be pushing it, but I think 2 gig would be useful in games like this that take advantage of high memory.

you will not need that much RAM to run EQ2, not even close in fact...

1 gig will do you just fine... @ 2gigs you might notice a 1% increase if you are lucky.

Well, i wouldn't say you would NEVER need 3 gigs. I remember when 512 was considered overkill. But I agree with demo24 in that you won't ever need 3 gigs on the 754 platform. By the time the need for 3 gigs comes around, 754 will be long gone. So in light of that, I would go with 2 sticks of fast (low latency) 512. I would recommend the corsair XL series.
