The way you dwell on those things here, I am willing to bet you do the same at work either indirectly or directly, so I'd venture that it's not so inappropriate on their part.

Since there's no love lost between either of us I'll take your comments with more than a grain of salt.Btw,I am very well aware of how to properly conduct myself at work.These comments were unsolicited and left a couple other folks also standing there with their jaws dropping.

Depends on what kind of company that you work for. My company his incredibly strict sexual harassment rules, like it or not, the conversations that you mentioned could have very serious legal ramifications if you really wanted to press the issue. I would get in touch with your HR department, but how they respond depends on the type of corporate culture is in place.

Geekbabe--the people making these comments..are you reporting to them on the job, or their supervisor (what I mean is, do they supervise you or you supervise them or do they have any control over things like promotions?) You work for a hospital, I think I remember you saying? I would seriously consider taking up my concerns with higher-ups, especially if I had made my displeasure known about the subject. This kind of harrassment borders on sexual.

Geez. You need to start carrying a cassette recorder. When someone says these things, take out the recorder and ask them to repeat what they just said so you have it on record when you make your sexual harrassment report with your employer. I'm absolutely serious.

I don't know what this particular person's trip is about but I doubt it's sexually motivated.What's weird is that he positions himself normally as my friend and in alignment with my views on workplace issues.The weirdest thing about all this is I try to be supportive and positive to any work place peer who is attempting health/ lifestyle changes
even if their plan isn't something I'd choose for myself.I am considered hard core at this point concerning diet but there's a growing group of like minded peers,I'm also not so OCD that I'll refuse birthday cake or the occasional treat and even when I do I never make any comments to take away from other's enjoyment of such.
