It sounds to me like the fella is making asshole comments and not even realizing it. Perhaps he lacks some social skills. I'd talk to him and tell him how you feel - I bet he'd apologize and stop saying such things, plus it'd benefit him to know this flaw in himself. Try it out.

I agree with lacking social skills or general asshole. It is usually easy to differentiate when actually talking to these people. Some people confuse their retard comments for humor and never realize that NOBODY IS LAUGHING. Best of luck to you, must be an uncomfortable work environment right now.

Hmmm.. I'm refering more to those folks who feel free to give you their unsolicited opinions directly to your face.

This requires some practice, but in a deadpan expression, simply gaze beyond them and say "why would you think I care what you think about anything?" in your best blase tone. And reply to whatever they say with a simple "Ohhh"
