Yeah. It's not really a thing over here.Wait you're for real? I thought you were joking about the toaster oven thing. These are super duper popular in the states, great for toasting bread, baking small things, etc.

I've got one of those, Oster makes some great ones. Big enough for 4 slices of toast, small pizza, 9x11 pan of whatever, etc. Cooks a lot faster and much quicker to warm up as well.
Nice.I've got one of these...

Which has been pretty solid TBF. It's got s built in rotisserie which is fun for chicken and comes with a massively heavy stainless steel stovetop. They really overcharge for accessories like a fitted griddle though.
Then I got a neff vario steam oven which is hilariously German.
That does look like it'll work well ... if the piece fits in the pan.mind blown

Make toast in the toaster or in a normal oven with a grill.
Modern fan ovens heat up ridiculously quickly as well, I'm always caught out by hos quickly the Neff heats up.
It ok, built like a tank and I'm a bit old fashioned for induction hobs. I'm afraid that I'll drop a pan through them every time I use them.Nice.
Like I said earlier I've got three ovens already that have grills in them, getting another one seems a bit unnecessary.Toaster ovens are pretty good however I haven’t owned one in a decade plus. Not sure if the Chinesium made ovens are that good.
Provided you have counter space (which I do not) I strongly suggest you try one out.
Good for toast or heating something small up or melting some cheese on a sandwich.
Ah, that's a whole range. But no space for plates, bowls, cutting board, utensils, containers of ingredients, etc.Nice.

Its interesting to see how kitchen usage and equipment varies though.
Agreed, dated a girl from Liverpool decades ago. Her food choices were similar to mine except when she went full Liverpool that shit was a combination of weird & gross.
Found it strange that she saw no value in dishwashers and claimed she never used one. Totally get the point if you are single it is easy to clean a dish or two twice a day but after having friends over and you have many glasses and dishes to wash doing them by hand is dumb.
I absolutely do not trust myself with any glass topped cooking appliance!I have an induction one as well. I use it for hotpot.
What can't go in the dishwasher? I basically throw away anything that can't go in, unless it's exceedingly delicate and thus rarely used.I still wash by hand. I can't put everything in the dishwasher, so may as well handwash.

Mist of my cooking stuff doesn't go in the dishwasher but it's nice not to have to do a stack of plates by hand. Or watch the kids drop them!I still wash by hand. I can't put everything in the dishwasher, so may as well handwash.
Knives, iron cookware, good glasses, stuff with wooden handles or made of wood...What can't go in the dishwasher? I basically throw away anything that can't go in, unless it's exceedingly delicate and thus rarely used.

Anything wood, coated cookware, ferrous cookware, kitchen knives. What can't go in the dishwasher? I basically throw away anything that can't go in, unless it's exceedingly delicate and thus rarely used.
Eh? I thought that you meant an induction hob in place of a gas one. It's hotpot, you don't move the pot at all during use.
And it's quartz.
Ah understood, I basically only use cast iron or stainless, no wood utensils. I do hand wash my knives, though.Anything wood, coated cookware, kitchen knives.

If your dishes coming out of a dishwasher have a chemical smell, something is wrong with either your dishwasher, your water, your soap, or some combination of all three.Meh, I can't stand dishwasher chemical smell.
