What's the best/worst radio station in your area?

I'm in southern california and best is definitely KROQ 106.7 FM - World Famous KROQ. Worst has to be KIIS 102.7 FM - Gay pop/top40 station.

WRFX 99.7 in Charlotte is the best around here. The worst maybe 107.9 the link, I think its WLNK

Best radio station around here is KMBY 104.3 (you can lsiten at www.kmby.com, they've even got a forum). Also, If I drive north a little farther, there's live105 (105.3) in San Francisco..they're OK too.

I dont know what the worst stations are cause I dont listento them very often

All the commercial radio stations in New Orleans suck. Hard.

WWOZ 90.7 is listener-supported and WTUL 91.5 is my school's station. Both are excellent. WWOZ mainly plays jazz and blues, and WTUL is progressive. I used to do a great show on WTUL (well, except for my timeslot--2 till 4 am on Wednesday nights/Thursday mornings ), but my studies got in the way.

When I lived in So Cal, my favorite station was Power 106. Now that I am in Alabama, I'm grateful everytime I get in my car, that I have an Aiwa In-Dash MP3 Player.

The only one I listen to is 104.9Xfm, it's a New Rock Alternative station.

Kube93.3fm is also cool. It's Seatles R&B station.

The worst would be Z95.3fm. They "claim" they are the new music station, but everything they play is like months old and is utter garbage... britney, n'suck, bsb...

The best in Greensboro is 92.3

The worst is 100.3. They reek of that corporate style of self-appointed coolness that I hate so much. Oh yeah, and they're all new. They switched stations from 94.5 earlier in the year, and now, 8 months later, they're still "all new." That and they dropped the Bob & Tom show.

The best in SoCal is probably 95.5 KLOS for me. They play a good mix of classic rock and 90's rock. KROQ just plays that new, crappy ass, metal stuff. Well, that and Blink 182.

But it's starting to take that form. Pop just means popular. Bands like Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park are not very different from Backstreet and NSYNC.

best in hawaii is definitely KIKI FM(I - 94 93.9)... they have pretty good dj's through all parts of the day... crap is a tossup between Da Bomb 102.7 and Xtreme Radio 104.3... Both are cheezy and crap....

located just north of Cincy in Oxford Ohio (Miami University), is great.

As heard in the movie Rain Man: &quot;97X Bam! The future of rock n' roll&quot; (Repeat about 10 times)

Worst around Cincy it the ubiquitous 'Top 40' station Q102

I'm in the middle of Kansas, so not many choices.

The best is 91.9 The Wildcat - our college station. These guys play tons of good stuff, and none of that pop crap.

The worst is 105.9 The Lazer in Lawrence. These guys used to own. But they were bought out and now its just BBoys, Nsuck and all that other bubblegum nonsense. Argh...

I am slightly out of broadcast range, but fortunatly i can stream it in

The worst radio stations are any of the numerous cookie cutter nationaly owned stations.

dc/baltimore stations:

best: DC101, close second is 99.1 WHFS (HFS has a better concert)...97.9 is also good
worst: There's some station that plays &quot;soft rock&quot;, I think it's 97.1 (WASH?)

In the 510, Wild 94.9 is definitely the best station bar none. Doghouse!!! 106 KMEL is pretty good too.

The stations I listen too in the Bay Area (the 510 for the area code people) are 92.3 KSJO (they are also 92.1 and 92.7) , Wild 94.9, Live105, and 106 KMEL
