razer diamondback. hands down best mouse out there, though is very pricey for a corded mouse.

read some reviews. I have yet to see any negative reivews or part of a review that's negative. besides, my hl2 kick @s55 friend swears by it. he kills me almost every time on CSS

MX510. Those razors and other crap are probably decent, but I wouldn't waste my money. Intellimouse 3.0 is also good.

LOL..... your buddy got you at CSS all the time?

I still remember when I played CS, my logitech Iwheel freedom corded mouse served me extremely well, nothing work better than my iwheel freedom. The model is M-BA47. Ergonomic design works extremely well, my palm and fingers had full grip on the mouse instead of fingers seat on the mouse all the time. In fact, both left click and right click button were designed close to fingers. The shape looks like comfort duo with a little skinier and taller body. I will try to get pic.....
I couldn't find that mouse any more....... If I anyone seen this, be sure to let me know. I will buy it immediately.

I have being skeptical since I have seen my friends use optical mouse. The traction sucks... maybe now would be a little better since optical mouse technology has came out for quite awhile. However, I still love old school track ball the best, cleaning the track ball doesn't seem to bother me. But hey, it serves you well, the mouse deserve a little pamped.. I still owned this mouse now, and take good care of it. It has never let me down after 3.5 yrs.

Does anyone has any experience with Logitech MX518?

I owned one of the original Razer mice (boomslang, a ball mouse -- before optical) and it was a very nice mouse (for a ball mouse). I would not hesitate to recommend Razer products based on that mouse.

I currently use the MX510 and it is an excellent mouse, the 518 should be even better. All my mice (other than the Boomslang) are Logitech mice, adn I like them quite a bit. I think any of the top of the line products from Razer, Microsoft and Razer are good products, you just have to buy on preference and feel.

If you're serious you should also have a good surface for the mouse. I used everglide in the age of ball mice, but smoother surfaces rule now. I currently use the fUNC surface, and it is very nice, though I haven't tried many other options, as there are tons now.

Oops, yea, LT MX510 or the MS IE 3.0
MX518 is baller as well, though it hasn't been out long enough for me to recommend it

I have found no better mouse than the Microsoft Intellimouse USB, the 5 button one. Two buttons, wheel (that clicks) and two side clickers. I have one from 2001 and a new one V1.1a (same style and config though)

These are the best mice availble, IMO. Only 24 bucks too. Couple it with a Func1030=awesome. The MX510 that I borrowed for 3 days (to test before buying) didn't even compare. It wasn't even a hard choice for me.

I am still using the MS Intellimouse 3.0a. Since they are discontinued I'll probably buy a MX510 (or newer) since I prefer corded mice. The 4.0 tilt wheel version is terrible for FPS games where you use the scroll wheel. I also tried the MX1000 when it was first released and took it back the next day.

The best gaming mouse is one that feels comfortable in your hands.

That mouse looks pretty slick. $59 ain't bad for a nice mouse. I'm picking one up.

If it doesn't lag & Razer doesn't beat it soon after, then yeah. Right now it's the Razer Diamondback for FPS games.

I love my MX510 blue...but yeah, whatever fits the best in your hands and is comfortable for you is the best mouse for you. The MX510 does this for me and I wouldn't want anything else.

I was using a version 1 intellimouse explorer until it died recently. Nice mouse, big buttons, very comfortable. I replaced it with a MX510, which I like quite a bit. The scroll buttons on it are a nice touch, though it's got a different feel to it. Haven't had any problems with it though, it's been pretty good.
