what's the "black national anthem"?

I was in Brooklyn with a musician friend who was singing at a black church event, so I joined her for dinner at that church. When the program started, they all sang the "black national anthem" .

Are there different national anthems for different races? Nobody told me . . .

Back when I was in high school we had a MLK meeting and they sang the national anthem. Maybe they sang the extended version but that song lasted fooorrreeevvveeeerrr

Uh..the only thing that helps to redeem the fact that this song was made, is the year it was created. I can't believe they still sing it in large groups though...

Something that gets me is why does the minority community complain about racism, when they support racist ideas (at least I think they are).

<insert color here>+<norm> = racism by definition, right?

This isn't limited to the black community, that's just the example given. I hear stuff like this, I always think how a "White National Anthem" would be called racist. Somehow, when a minority's ethnic group is involved it isn't. Double standard or no?

I don't think this song is racist at all. This is the first time I've read this and I actually find it quite touching

stop using logic ... marxists deny it's very existance .. everything relies on "feelings".

it's all right out of the communist manifesto .. people have to be broken down into groups and everything becomes a group struggle against another group. it's how they break down a free society.
