I was playing Mario Kart 64 with my friends and we were in battle mode on the Donut course. I threw a red shell at one of my friends, but another friend threw a banana at us. THE FREAKING RED SHELL HIT THE BANANA HE JUST THREW AND THE RED SHELL DIED!!! He only had one balloon as well, and I ended up losing that one.

No one close to the guy could. I was disconnedted so I just went out on the back porch and cleaned up the mess when the police/coroner were done to spare them the pain and trouble.

when i was 16 i was driving and the hood of the car in front of me flew off. went about 30 feet into the air, and came down to skip off my front bumper underneath my car. that was some scary sh!t. i just knew it was coming through the windshield to decapitate me.

Why? For doing what had to be done? Sometimes you just have to step up to the plate and do unpleasant things when there is no one else able to do so. No one said life was going to be fair or easy. You do what you have to do.

My brothers, a cousin, and I were out fishing. None of us could really swim. Two could dog paddle somewhat but that's it. I'm wearing a Jansport backpack that has our catches and bait. My cousin just caught the last fish so has the net. So as we're heading up stream, my brothers decide to cross a shallow part of the river. I told him not to but he does so anyway. One brother makes it across and the second slips on a rock and gets swept down stream. He's paddling to try and stay above water but keeps going under swallowing water each time. At that moment, my uncle who was in the Army was coming by to get us for lunch. He see what's going on and jumps in the water, but because my brother is scared, he starts to pull him under also. My uncle has him close to the bank but its still not shallow enough. My uncle starts to paddle out and my brother is about to go under. I run out to him and its still to deep for me. I'm about a forearms length from him, so I yell out to my cousin to give me the net. At this time, my feet aren't touching the earth but I'm floating thanks to the waterproof backback. My brother grabs onto the net and we pull him in.

Phew.

EDIT: The first thing my brother says is that he lost the fishing pole.

..on the freeway I saw a box spring mattress fly off the top of a station wagon. Idiot was trying to hold it down wit one hand and drive with the other. It flipped thru the air a few times and landed in front of me. I drove over it at about 60 mph. I had no where to go but over it. gawd awful sound of wood and springs flying apart under my truck (ranger)..in the rear view all I saw were mattress smitherenes flying all over the freeway. there was mattress junk and wood stuck under my truck and the rear shocks were all dented up. can't help but think there must have been something in that mattress to cause all that damage. the guy in the station wagon just kept going. must have been a fire and forget mattress.

This morning..there was a guy trying to pour engine oil in the engine. What happened was that he accidentally spilled some of that oil on his hot engine, and it caught fire lol. Luckily we were quick enough to get water to stop the fire.

About 4 years ago, I was stopped at a traffic light, waiting to turn left onto a 4 lane highway that runs through our town. This particular highway just happens to be part of the standard route used by cattle carrying semi-trailers on their way to the meat packing plant on the edge of town.

The light turned red for the highway traffic, but there was a semi coming up to the light that obviously could not stop in time due to the momentum he had picked up going 55 mph, so he continued through the light. The semi wasn't into the intersection when another guy parked in front of me across the highway turning right decided that it was time to go.

The semi plowed right through this guy, completly pulverizing the car and the man inside. However, due to the truck driver's attempt to miss hitting the car, he slammed on the breaks and pulled the wheel hard to one side, and ended up flipping the trailer full of cattle.

The ventilated trailer acted like a cheese grater against those cows, and so the highway was covered in cow "parts" as the poor guys were flung around the concrete. Pretty nasty stuff.

I was at a horse race at a small track in AZ. Well it was this fast quarter horse race and this horse on the outside ran like crazy and won the race, however he couldnt make the turn. Well the thing about the turn it was it was on an elevated track and they had some of that chain link fence with the slats up there after the railing. So what happend next was the most gruesome thing i had ever scene. The horse runs into the rail breaking it (they are made of a PVC like material) and it splinters into him, the jockey is thrown into the fence and the slats turn into razor blades prettymuch. the horse is thrown over the side and the pipe rips him open spewing his guts all over the side of the track, the jockey is torn up and thrown into the dead horses body. The jockey is picked up by the EMTs at the track and helioed away (he lived amazingly) the horse however his head was almost severed, and his gut was almost like a butterflied shrimp. They brought over a front-loader to pick the horse up and when they went to scoop him up the head flopped over and fell off. This was in front of about 2000 people, many who had brought their little kids that day cause there was a little fair setup with pony rides and what not.
