Personally, I make green smoothies.

1 1/2 cups yogurt, 2 cups grapes, few handfuls of kale, 2 bananas, and an apple. It's delicious and you only taste the banana/apple.

I love Chinese Kale. Stir fry with beef, garlic and Taiwanese BBQ sauce. Or stir fry with just garlic.

Just throw that shit in a Blendtec with some fruit, spinach, whey protein, flax, etc and you're good to go as an after workout drink/snack. :thumbsup:

Does the Blendtec really get the kale smooth? I'm using a cheap Oster and it is like drinking pesto. I use the super tough Tuscan Kale and it is like 70% of the smoothie.

The Blendtec is on sale at Costco until Feb, but the Vitamix is going to be on sale starting Thursday and I know the Vitamix works.

I love that shit. Easy to grow - few pests bother it besides those cabbage looper things but I use BT spray for that, they are extremely hardy. And it tastes awesome.

I sometimes throw kale into my pan deglaze once I've finished cooking my chicken breast. My deglaze is simple, water, vinegar, and something a little sweet like cran-grape juice. Put the lid on it and it softens up and the deglaze cuts the bitterness.

Kale salad is fucking delicious.

I like blending it with spinach, carrot shavings, hard boiled egg choppings, cheese shavings, and a vinaigrette

Blendtec works great with kale.

You can't go wrong with either a Blendtec or Vitamix. Vitamix is harder to clean, bulkier on the shelf, no built-in timer/programs, and more expensive with a weaker motor. Other than that, both will destroy a cheap blender in effectiveness.

Definitely try the ones on sale at Costco/Costco.com if you're in the market. Great prices on these things.

Yeah, I bought the Blendtec sale package at Costco after reading about Vitamix/Blendtec here. I went with Blendtec because it was more compact, lcd program/timer buttons, longer warranty, and cheaper price than Vitamix. So far no real complaint other than it doesn't handle frozen fruits as well as I would like.

I have seen this word "Kale" before. However, never knew what the fvck it was.
I am not familiar with "colcannon."

That said, I loves me corned beef and cabbage, saurkraut on a brat or burger, or some Kimchi ... Cabbage is awesome as it's flavor really complements most meats.
