If you finished why was going to med school so bad?? You get the MD, dont have to practice or do residency if you dont want to and can still get a great job in the medical research field like I did.

BTW, Ive done so many dumb things I couldnt even begin to list them.

I was going about 35-40MPH on a 4wheeler on a dirt road. I figured if i turned real fast, I would just slide and sorta spin out, wrong. I ended up flipping the 4wheeler and was thrown about 30 feet in the air, then slid another 5-10 feet. Luckily I wasn't hurt, and my clothes took most of the damage, and the 4 wheeler was perfectly fine.

The lack of sleep it has caused me is the reason I listed it. I was being sarcastic, in a way, because ultimately I know it's the best decision I can make. Ever since I decided to apply, my life has been busy as hell though. I'm pulling 12 shifts at a local hospital and going to college full time. So other than the lack of sleep, it's a great choice.

Try to follow along. When I was a kid we would go swimming down at the old sandpit. It was all filled up with water of course and even stocked with fish. Well we would put ropes up in the tress near the edge of the water. Then we'd climb up and swing out over the water and let go. Another cool trick was to run in a circle around the edge of the bank, the drag your feet in the water so your drag would stop you. Well I grabbed the rope to high and my feet didn't drag enough. Instead of letting go I held on (ya I panicked and siezed up) and ended up coming around and raming into a huge tree root. No broken ribs but pretty good bruises to the mid section. Guess I'm lucky my chest took the hit and not an arm or leg. I must have looked like a cartoon character (Wiley Coyote) ramming into a wall and just bouncing off.

Was hiking along the coast with some friends. Came to a spot where there was a cave blocking our advance with waves pounding it every few seconds. My friends all chickened out, but I lept onto the sand at the mouth of the cave as the wave drew out to sea. There wasn't time to clamber up the other side before the next wave hit, so I retreated further into the cave where I found a large rock to jump up on. I watched as a huge wave about chest high rolled in. Somehow, between the deflection of the cave entrance and just natural tide ebbing, it smoothed out as it advanced and just got my boots a little. But I stood there thinking about my parents and fiance and how a large wave would have literally crushed me against the inside of that cave and possibly knocked me unconscious. Tides in Northern California are lightning quick. Anyway, I made it to the other side when the wave subsided and helped my friends up as they followed.

Hmm, I don't think I qualify for this thread, but while I was riding my bicycle, I did put my foot in the spokes of my front wheel. Yes, the bike stopped and yes, it threw me over the handlebars into a parking lot. Nothing broken, but some people did get a good laugh.
