Whats the Fan Signal Connector for?

I have a new Antec p303X power supply.
In addition to the familiar power cables, there's one with 2 small wires going to a connector that looks like it would slip over pins on a Mboard. Documentation downloaded form Antec says it's a Fan Signal Connector.
What's it for? Where do I connect it?

My guess would be that it allows your mobo to monitor your PS fan speed.
You can probably view it through your BIOS. I would read your mobo manual to see where it connects to.

On a newer motherboard, there will be a set of pins it will connect to that will allow you to monitor the RPMs of the Power Supply's fan.

This is useful if you're doing any number of things, but is basically there for hardware monitoring.

The MB has a 3-pin connector labelled "SYSFAN" and says to connect the chassis fan to it - implying that it supplies power to a fna. Thats the only one that sounds anything like this.
