What's the Geforce 6800 GTO?

Yea that's Dell for you but I got a great price. But at least they gave it a separate model number on the Video card to prevent confusion. They sell Sound Blaster Audigy 2 cards as ZSs but they aren't even close. ...No hardware Dolby or DTS decoding, no Midi or gameport.
So maybe its an Audigy 2 NOT
Edit....they now sell the cards as the Audigy 2 (D) and give the details in fine print.
You can't beat Dell on features for the price...

Well, I got my GTO a few days ago from eBay @ $240 shipped.

I was a little nervous when I got it because I was afraid it might not unlock or overclock well.

First things first I used Rivatuner to unlock the additional 4 Piplines and the additional shader......

SUCCESS! now showing 16 and 6 I was presently supprised to see everything unlock ok

so, I started to see how high I could overclock it.

350, 900 stock
375, 900 ok
375, 1000 ok
400, 1000 ok
400, 1050 ok
400, 1100 ok
425, 1100 ok
450, 1100 Froze up in 3d mark 05

I forgot to benchmark it at 425, 1100, but at 400, 1100 I got a ~5450 in 3DMark05
Actually, I benchmarked with every change I made so I'll post the exact results when I get home.

I never tried pushing the memory to higher speeds but I suppose I might try it someday if I get the guts to, but for now there's no need. I'm able to run everything on full settings for now.

I'm currently running at 400, 1100. It idles around 68c and after a few hours of Doom3 on Ultra settings it gets up to about 89c, so the temps are acceptable

So for $250 Im running at 6800 Ultra performance This card friggin rocks!

at the time of its release and untill around 3 months ago the GTO in a Dell computer wasnt a bad option, u can overclock it to Ultra speeds providing u keep it cool, on some cards u can unlock the pipes perfectly, others (like mine) are picky, in 3dmark they are fine, but in HL2 they show some sparkles.....and they cost a lot less than an ultra did.

now tho dell are still charging the same price as when i bought mine 10 months ago it is not a good deal whatsoever, specially given that u can get an Ultra for £300 now...lol

LOL. Right. I own a 2005 Pontiac GTO (currently less than 2100 miles on it), and hands down its probably one of the best built GM vehicles available right now. It's an awesome car, and i guarantee you'd shut up about it as soon as you sat in one (most comfortable seats in a sports car ever, even better than a vette). But back on topic, yes, GTO is for OEM.

As far as I know it's 350HP, and yeah, it's a ture american car.
Focusing mainly on looks and alot of big engine power with old fasion technology and bull.
After looking a bit into the new GTO, atleast by pictures and specs it looks a bit more Europien/Japaniese (for the good side), and not like the regular bulky american car.

Sorry for the double post, but the '05 model got the 400hp LS2 V8 thats in the C6 corvette. The '04s have the 350hp LS1 V8. The car looks european because its NOT an american made car, its built in Australia, and its a derivative of the Holden Monaro (Holden is the Australian GM affiliate). The car has a lot of power and torque for sure, but its also a very very nice car, especially the interior. Its closer to a BMW than a typical GM made car (i come from a GM family). Don't diss the GTO, its a very well made car.
