yeah... it's on dell's site as an option with a desktop:

256MB Nvidia® GeForce 6800 GTO Graphics Card

is it just the PCI-e version of the geforce 6800?

Yes the 'O' is for "OEM only model", like the nVidia page says at http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce_6800.html, but i dont know if there are any difference in the specs from the 6800 GT model, if anyone knows please post

As far as I know it's 350HP, and yeah, it's a ture american car.
Focusing mainly on looks and alot of big engine power with old fasion technology and bull.
After looking a bit into the new GTO, atleast by pictures and specs it looks a bit more Europien/Japaniese (for the good side), and not like the regular bulky american car.

That link says 12x1, but overclocked from a 6800, and with 6 and not 5 VS. I think I read elsewhere it was a 12x1 with higher clicks than 6800, but I can't remember where it was,

Ok I found some people on Hardware sites that are saying this:

The card did deserve a new name since it's faster than a 6800 but slower than a 6800GT, and it would have been better if Dell or nvidia (whoever named it) would have called it something else besides "GTO." But it is just as easy to argue that now with the GTO name, you know it's not a GT in the same way you know an x800 SE card is not an x800 Pro.

So dont buy this thinking you'll get a good deal on a regular 6800GT on the Dell Desktop systems.

The GTO is actaully Australian. It's a Holden Monaro with a different body.

GTO is Dell's moniker for a 6800NU, sadly. It is in fact a 12 pipe card.
