a friend/ex-crush from high school got gay married this weekend.

I was feeling kinda bitter and jealous when I heard, and then I saw pictures from the wedding and now I'm just amused / glad I wasn't this guy's type.

I don't know about lately, but the 9/11 comment earlier in this thread reminded me of how cool I thought it was for there to be tractor loads of corpses and debris being moved around. I told my dad that and he yelled at me saying "That's terrible! What if it was your mom or grandparents?"

I still feel justified for being pissed off with the moment of silence we were forced into the next day, which cut into my lunch period.

EDIT: I also remember watching the news waiting for the first bombs to be dropped on Iraq, and exclaiming that the explosions were the most beautiful things I had ever seen.

I was on my way to photograph an Air Force press conference after the death of a test pilot during a training flight at Edward Air Force Base in California. On the way into the building I walked past a removable van seat sitting in the hallway and made the smart-ass comment "is that the ejection seat they are going to use for the demonstration?"

Several Air Force personnel overheard my comment, including the officer who reminding me that a man had just died. I don't know what the fuck I was thinking.

Lately? A co-worker, having an extremely frustrating day, commented (stupidly) about "going postal" on someone. Knowing this person, and the way they blow off steam, when I heard about it, I told the person who overheard them that they should have said, "While you're there, will you pick me up some stamps??"

Worst ever? On 9-11, after watching the Trade Center towers fall, the first thought that came to mind was, "Well, I guess the Empire State building is the tallest in the city again".

I was stuck behind a slow driver in the left lane of the freeway this morning, and I remember exclaiming quite loudly, to no one in particular, that people who drive like that should be skullfucked to death by a bear. One day I was on the elevator at the hospital where I work. It stopped on a floor and one of the clinical staff members pushed a stretcher with a patient on it into the elevator (boarding along with them of course). The patient's feet protruded beyond the end of the stretcher, which was was just a bit shorter than the elevator, length-wise. So when the elevator doors closed, they missed the patient's foot by just a few inches. Trying to make small talk, I said "Oh man, you almost got an early amputation of your foot!" Of course, I was the only one who found that amusing.

Looking around the elevator, I happened to glance at the patient's chart which had a big orange label on it that said "Diabetic"

I worked at a flower shop last summer and accidentally flipped the wrong breaker when closing for the night - I turned off the industrial cooler for all the flowers. I wasn't at work the next day, but I heard about it via my friend who worked there. The owner and manager crawled around on top of the building to find the problem, only to realize the breaker had been flipped. They figured the other person who worked with me that night, a bitchy manipulative woman, had done it since she messed up all the time. She was so terrible that I let them think it (told my friend, though). She quit soon after.

I feel kind of bad about it, but she was actively gunning for the (very nice) manager's job and constantly talked about manipulating my (much nicer) coworkers.

Edit: Also, since school started today I have an urge to kill bros. Especially freshmen bros.
