In high school I learned what a liberal and conservative is supposed to be.
These days in the real world I think they're just catchphrases so folks can get elected or keep their enemy from getting elected. Right up there with socialist and communist. Any time one group doesnt like another and wants them to look evil, they'll accuse them of socialism or communism or both. They will change back and forth between those terms quickly. Which is amusing, because I learned that that those two are generally opposite.

What I learned in the classroom and what the public media wants me to know are two completely different things.
What I recommend for the OP is he go to school and learn, OR, watch lots of TV news and read the papers and then decide for himself which is which. Do NOT ask the opinions of others and especially dont ask in a nerd forum, where most people are clearly insane.
