This. You're retarded if you use cash. It's nothing to brag about.
Topic should be called "How much do I want to get a gun pointed at my throat?"
If you were gambling in Vegas, you were of age to do so... and several years later, you will, obviously, be several years older. So, at your age, seriously??! You've never had more than $400-$500 on you? Wow. I'd consider that to be a reasonable amount of cash to pull out just for a weekend.I think $400-500 I was in Vegas and actually won $400 on a quarter slot machine. This was several years ago when you actually used quarters and money came out of the machine. The light went off on top of the machine and the cashier had to come over to give me my winnings. Gave me 4 crisp hundred dollar bills. It was awesome.
Considering I paid taxes on that amount I dont see how I possibly broke the law. I also only had 9800 in that checking account so I couldn't have taken out 10k if wanted to.

Personal - my own cash? Between 2 and 3 thousand.
Over the years, there were a few Mondays at the pizza shop when I took over for the owner when he was on vacation. Monday 9 a.m. meant taking all of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday's money to the bank. (They now use the night deposit box, so it doesn't build up.) So, somewhere in the neighborhood of 10k. If they did it these days, it would go over 10k each Monday - does the 10k "limit" apply to businesses as well?
I think that's what got me flagged by TD, "excessive cash deposits". Would be interesting to hear what other businesses have been hit besides the designated operation choke point ones.Personal - my own cash? Between 2 and 3 thousand.

Cashier's checks are pretty much good as cash at most banks. I've never had to wait more than two days for the entire balance to clear on one, and they usually have provisions for a greater grace amount (for my bank it was $5000 immediate / remaining balance 2-days on a $46,000 check).
Where's that guy with the picture of $100k
About $32k. Had to carry it around with me for a day. That was back in 89 and I wasn't the least bit concerned about being robbed. Today I would be extremely concerned about the police taking it.
Wow! That sounds like a scene from the Bourne series!60K in 100 dollar bills. I emptied a safe deposit box in a bank vault
LOL13k after selling a couple cars before moving. Deposited it slowly over a few months between two checking accounts. No idea about tax laws and was paranoid. Scared the shit out of me too because I just put it in a kitchen drawer. Came home from work and it was gone. Wife hid it...
I've been thinking these same things for years except that the original one-time-tax should be graduated, a higher rate for people with higher income. Screw sales tax, state tax, property taxes, blah blah. It's all double, triple, quadruple, etc. jeopardy.Yeah I'd be all for a flat tax.
Take 50% of my earnings before I get paid, and THATS IT. No more taxes after that. Have a certain agency responsible for that then distributing that money to the various tiers of government such as federal, provincial and municipal. Get rid of all the other taxes and stop double taxing people. And get rid of the whole income tax return thing... take the right amount right off the bat and get it over with. Get rid of all the complication and bureaucracy.
That makes too much sense though so it's never going to happen.
Around $4500. It wasn't mine though, it was when I worked at Home Depot. Old Portuguese guys don't like checks or CCs.
For me personally? Probably a few hundred. I've done everything on a CC since I was 18, so no real need for cash. I think I have $4 in my wallet.
You could live with no cash, but you give up some convenience sometimes. I don't use it a lot, usually have no change on me. If I do have change, I leave it at home or in my car's ash tray for meters.This. You're retarded if you use cash. It's nothing to brag about.

Care to tell why?
