what's the most disappointing beer you ever drank?

instead of starting another "the best beer thread," the most disappointing beer would be the brews which you have expectation of wellness but only turns out to be just blah. Blasphemy-flamesuit is provided at no cost.

so here's my list:

Stella Artois (weird taste)
Red Stripe (just didn't like it)
Duvel (it wasn't as good as everyone said)
Double Bocks (horrid taste)

Agreed, tasted like water to me, although there is one Aussie beer that is the evilest stuff known to man...XXXX, nothing but camels piss in a can, Queenslander seem to love it though(they are pretty backward..kinda like Australia's version of canada)

any gordon biersch beer. sierra nevada used to by "my beer" i cannot stand it anymore. as of late i've ONLY been drinking guiness.. in fact i DAMMIT i left a guiness in the freezer from dinner, which is now frozen.

woot? I heard good things about it, but again, it has like 15 percent Alcohol...

Sierra Nevada's stuff are okay, their Ales are just alright.

huh? so it was frozen and you drank after it was defrosted?
my only experience with it was in a pub... so I never tried it in a can or bottle.

Sierra Nevada's stuff are okay, their Ales are just alright.

I've only had Sierra Nevada Bigfoot ale twice so far and both times it has been excellent. Have 4 more in the frige for when I feel like another....


I'll have to say Blue Moon was rather disappointing. It's not a bad beer, but it's supposed to be a "belgian witbier" in style, and it just doesn't come close to Hoegaarden. (Now Allagash on the other hand .... mmmmmmm gooooood)
