Dos Equis (XX) or whatever it was. I thought this was a higher level beer above a Corona, yet it tastes just like one.

WTF is the point of non alcoholic beer, half the reason you drink beer is to get plastered...what they actually think people drink beer for the taste...thats crazy talk
Plastered on Beer?
That would take a LOT of beer.
If it's good beer, then you are talking an easy $100 or so at a bar.
It's much easier, and cheaper, to get plastered on Whiskey, Rum, Gin, Vodka, etc ....
I drink beer for the taste, but I only drink GOOD beer for the taste.
if you drink real beer (so at least 4.5%) then half a carton (12 375ml stubbies(about 1.4 standard drinks)) is a pretty big night, half a block (15 375ml tinnies, 1.4 standard drinks) a little more so...

No, 12 bottles of beer is far from "plastered".
12 bottles is perhaps a little bit of buzzing if on an empty stomache.
If I want to get plastered, I need at least 25+ beers.
And I do drink "real" beer, I'm mostly into Ales and Lagers, but I like to experiment.
I can drink a full 750ml bottle of 80 proof rum (Captain Morgan's Private Stock) and get a good buzz going ... and the rum costs $20. To match the amount of alcohol in beer, assuming beer is 5% .. I would need to drink 16 x the volume of beer as rum. (12 liters)
I am not about to drink 12 liters of beer, as that would probably make me sick.
I weigh 280 pounds, which may be why I need to drink a bit more then other people.

All beer is either an ale or lager. Bud Miller Coors are lagers. If it's not an ale or lager, it isn't beer.
Real beer is not determine by ABV. If you're drinking to get drunk, stick to the 4% cheap beers like bud/miller/coors. It's cheaper that way. Or better yet, buy the hard stuff.
On topic? I'd have to say a Belgian beer...Stella Nacht or something like that. $4 for a ~12 oz. bottle and it was not good.

A pilsner is a style of lager. Ale and Lager refer to the type of yeast used. Ale is a top fermenting yeast and lager is a bottom fermenting yeast. Wheat beers, lambics, porters, and stouts are ales. Pilsners and bocks are lagers. Cold fermented beers are lagers. Most German beers are lagers except the hefewiezens (wheat). Most Mexican beers are really German beers. Most English/Irish/Scottish beers are ales.

Ahh ... I thought "pilsner" was seperate from Ales and Lagers.
And yea, I do not ever drink beer to get drunk. That was pretty much my point. It's expensive as hell to get drunk on beer. I can get drunk on a bottle of rum, and drink beer to maintain it.
