I agree that was a gross movie when his body parts started falling off, the arm wrestling scene was kinda shocking too

I am surprised this got mentioned so early. The rape scene is truly disturbing. I refuse to let my wife watch it for fear of freaking her out too much.

I cannot find this movie. None of the video stores in my area stock it. Any idea where to pick it up?

Netflix or similar. It's an NR movie.

That would be my second choice behind In The Company Of Men. Both are outstanding films, IMO.

I would have to say the first SAW.

Speaking of faces of death. I've seen one of those and you can see more graphic stuff nowadays on tv shows like Maximum Exposure.
Is this because we have become desensitized?

You haven't seen the real Faces of Death, then. They show people getting their heads and limbs being cut off.

Threads.

It's a BBC film from the 80's about the aftermath of a nuclear war. I never want to see that movie again, it gave me nightmares for two weeks afterward.

Watching the first "Nightmare on Elm Street" when I was 10 was probably the only time I can say I was truly disturbed by a film. I think that was probably the first R rated movie I'd seen too...

Nothing of the horror genre does much to me now, although I can say that I saw 21 Grams last year and I actually felt much much worse afterward. Talk about a feel-bad movie.

I tried to watch that but couldn't finish it. Post-apocalyptic movies freak me out I guess.
