My Kimber. Shot off all my 45 when I thought it would be readily available. Then some moron speculated Obama would ban guns and everybody started hoarding.

for me it's a crock pot.
on sale for $9.99 when normally it's $25.

2yrs later, still in the box.

BBQ Root Beer Chicken: (crockpot recipe)

2 bottles of BBQ sauce (I use two different flavors of Kraft)
12 ounces of Root Beer
6 boneless/skinless chicken breasts
(optional) Whatever spices you have on-hand (garlic powder, Kosher salt, etc.)

Dump in everything but the chicken, stir around to mix, then add the chicken (make sure it's covered in the sauce). Cook on low in the crock pot for 5 hours, shred with a couple of forks, throw back in and cook for another hour. It's like pulled pork, but better. And the longer it stays in the fridge after cooking, the better it tastes (it can marinate up to a week and the leftovers taste even better!).

"Never use" as in never opened package or just immediately tossed item aside?
If that's the case then I don't have anything. I do have some collectors stuff I never opened but they are on display so technically I use them.

I do have tons of things I got very little use out of or lost excitement quickly over.

Probably my C6 Corvette. Bought it new in Feb. 2007. In six and half years, I've put ~7,000 miles on it. If I add the depreciation, insurance, tag, and gas it probably works out to about $5/ mile.

Not sure, but might be a soundbar. It was 'normally $1,700 closeout for something like $900'. Had maybe 40 speakers in it.

Sounded kind of neat whether I'd use it or resell, but it never got opened for a couple years, and then was burgled as part of two burglaries for around $5,000 in stuff like that.

I got a brand new Harman Kardon digital receiver still in the box unopened I got super cheap for $200 right after it came out. Retails for $600. I kept thinking I would use it to stream music from the internet and replace my old one but I never did.

And I have some rather expensive power tools I bought on clearance that have sat new in the box for years now. I keep thinking I should just sell them, but meh. Men just like their tools, you know?

Those make great cat towers. Just staple some used carpet to the outsides, and remove the speakers and innards and add a few shelves and you have years of cat fun on your hands!

I think most people who bought those speakers don't want a reminder of it in their living room every day

My biggest item is probably my VW Thing. I drove it a couple years, and parked it when the brakes went out. Someone wants it, and I'm currently looking for the title. I kept it for 20 years now with the intention of restoring it, but that isn't happening, so I might as well give it to someone who'll give it love. Hate to see it go though...

Otherwise, just little stuff. I bet I haven't wasted more than $20 on an item I just didn't use.

Some college textbooks. Never even opened a couple of them, and of course the one I "had" to buy new so it was still shrink wrapped. Those darn things are such a ripoff.

One month I bought a Macbook Air, Samsung Series 9 and a Sony Vaio Z, so I can test them out and see which one I liked the best. I spent about 10 minutes on the Samsung and couldn't stand the trackpad. I spent about an hour playing on the Sony, before settling on the Macbook Air. Then I went out and bought three more Airs while the Samsung and Sony sit unused.
