A couple hundred bucks in Warmachine stuff (rule book, figures, paints). I base coated most of them and did some basic paint work on a whole bunch, but they've sat untouched for a few years. Never once played a game with them.

LOL- I had a bunch of game kits like that in the 80's. Board/fantasy games where huge back then so people would buy game kits like books (I remember game shops with shelves and shelves of kits lined up on shelves).

I probably sunk a couple of hundred into Starfleet Battles figures and boxes:

What kind of guitar is it?

And honestly, 15 minutes of learning notes/scales and 15 minutes of learning tab from a song you want to work on 2-3 times a week is all it would take to get you playing in a few months. Not much commitment there. When most people get their 1st song nailed their enthusiasm shoots up, but it can be hard knowing what to do on your own. This is why I always recommend professional lessons for the first few months.

This is the one I bought:

Yeah, I probably should have done lessons. I got to the point I didn't feel like I was actually making any progress. Like I could read along to tabs, but I didn't feel like I knew what I was really doing. And just playing scales was boring and again, didn't make me feel like I was learning anything. So I learned a few chords and was practicing changing between them quickly, but then I was like umm... Now what? And gave up.

One month I bought a Macbook Air, Samsung Series 9 and a Sony Vaio Z, so I can test them out and see which one I liked the best. I spent about 10 minutes on the Samsung and couldn't stand the trackpad. I spent about an hour playing on the Sony, before settling on the Macbook Air. Then I went out and bought three more Airs while the Samsung and Sony sit unused.

Now you guys made me all paranoid that I lost them, so I just tracked down those three:

They competed against each other and were the best machines in their class from each of their respective companies. The Macbook simply was the hands down best of the three though. At the time, I couldn't find a store where I could check them out in person, so it was more convenient just to buy them all.

I have an extra Smith & Wesson M&P15T that I've never fired, it just sits in the safe.

I've also got a M&P15 and 17 other AR15s and 2 AKs I haven't shot yet. I have however, shot all my pistols now. Just placed an order for an ACR. Now I need to hunt down a SCAR 17.

Car insurance. I can buy a new car every couple years with that money. It's actually kinda sad how expensive car insurance is.

Especially in Ontario. It's a rip off. Doesn't help that the T-Dotters can't drive. Did you see that plate renewals went up as well? $90 a year now. You don't even get a discount for the two year stickers.

As for me, probably my 3DS. I can't remember the last time I actually sat and played it.

Holy CRAP! I paid over $2,000 this past year to register my cars. You guys have it good if all you're paying is $90.

Can I count a certain "stock" that I lost everything in (and by virtue never use)?

$2k total is actually not that bad considering the cars you have. I figured it was more. When my cousin had the Phantom, the GA county tag office initially didn't know how much to charge him because they were unfamiliar with the car. I think they later settled on the value and he had to pay like $2,500 a year for the tag.

kitchenaid stand mixer probably tops the never used list, but there's other stuff that's rarely used or hasn't been used in a longer time that cost more, like a pair of bauer hockey skates that i haven't used in 15 years.

BBQ Ketchup Braised Root Beer Chicken: (crockpot recipe)

2 bottles of BBQ saucedressed up ketchup (I use two different flavors of Kraft)
12 ounces of Root Beer
6 boneless/skinless chicken breasts
(optional) Whatever spices you have on-hand (garlic powder, Kosher salt, etc.)

Dump in everything but the chicken, stir around to mix, then add the chicken (make sure it's covered in the sauce). Cook on low in the crock pot for 5 hours, shred with a couple of forks, throw back in and cook for another hour. It's like pulled pork, but better. And the longer it stays in the fridge after cooking, the better it tastes (it can marinate up to a week and the leftovers taste even better!).

this is not barbecue

how much is it up north and are bigger cities a lot more? In NY I'm paying $450/6 months a car for full coverage. Liability only was like $250/6 months.

Did you ever try selling that junk on Ebay?

Do you still play WoW?

Do you still race?

The lessons would have gave you structure and taught you why you need to learn scales. You'd learn root notes and how they relate to build chords and solos. Go pick it back up, find a teacher (lessons are about $15 once a week), and get crackin'!

My gf and I combined pay $320/6 mo for an a4 cabrio and a porsche 911 in Chicago. Totally a function of the local laws, I was paying about 4x as much for one in MI.

I've bought a bunch of video games through the years which I haven't even installed yet. Most of them were cheap classics that I couldn't resist to have. It's about 20 games, but I think that I will play them someday (I hope). The boxes look good on my shelves though. I still prefer boxed games to a digital copy.

These are a huge time saver for any sort of baking, big batches of frosting spend a long time in the mixer. Outside of that ours doesn't see much use, but it still has a ton of miles on it.
