Ok, but what CPU?

Also, location of fans and direction they are blowing?

Cross-posting to OT is bad.

114F is about 46C right? Which is fine. My 1800+ @ 2GHz (XP 2400+) idles at around 45 and hits ~55-56 under load.

What's your load temp?

It could be a power issue. You might want to install Motherboard Monitor and monitor your rails (enable logging).

Personally I'd start getting worried at ~65c (~149F).

Try running Prime95 for an hour or so and see how high it goes.

So what CPU are you running? Regardless, at 114F, you have nothing to worry about.

Most of AMD's newer chips are good up to 70-80C. As Xscript mentioned, I wouldn't get worried until the CPU temps gets above 60C.

Please school me -

How will a power issue show up in MBM's rail stats? What should you look for to see such a problem in the numbers?

thanks -
