What's the oldest piece of hardware in your computer that you still use daily?

i'd have to say my Klipsch v2.400 and my soundblaster live. I had them for 4 years already and they still sound great. everything else i've upgraded pretty much. and little hard drives that i still keep around but those are boring so i didn't count those.

Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro, my favorite stick ever I have three of them so they wear slower. I think the oldest one is circa 1997 or so.

edit: now that I think of it, that's not true. I have a 5-pound IBM keyboard/bludgeon that's marked 1984 on the bottom, and I love it

My Keyboard from 1997? Why don't they make keyboards like this anymore? I'm about to upgrade to a wireless Logitech setup and I think I'll miss the metal clinkity klank feeling of this keyboard.

IBM Deskstar 60GXP or TB Santa Cruz I think...
Not for long though, gonna get a Revolution 7.1 to replace the Cruz, and a 180GXP to replace the 60GXP

CSW FPS 1000 speakers from 1998.

Inside my computer, it's my 3com 3c905b NIC, also from 1998.

Probally my HD. Not sure how old it is, but at least 5 years old. Maxtor 25.4gb @ 5400 RPM. I think top of the line when it was out. Other than that, maybe my keyboard, a MS Natural Keyboard, around the same age as well. Then, aside from that, my network card, probally 3-4 years as well.

Other than those, everything is pretty much new.

Well, I do have a P3 system, and a 64 MB PC100 DIMM that cost $100 when I bought it, but the oldest component is my sole IDE drive. It's a 4 GB WD that I bought when this system was a PI-150 with a 2 GB HD. Heck, the 2 GB Seagate is still good and on a friend's kid's computer. I'm getting ready to upgrade that guy to a larger volume drive. The 4 GB is a safety measure in case something happens to my SCSI chain.

Right, the keyboard; that's probably the oldest part of my PC too, except the floppy drive. But I don't use the floppy every day; once a week maybe. I think my keyboard is from 1996 if I remember right; $6.95 Acer, bought at a computer show, and it's still working fine.
The case is also getting up there in age - it is an Enlight 7237 that I bought back when they were all the rage.

(I don't know if they even still make these or not....but)

Do you remember those old power strips that you put under your monitor that had a lighted switch for each plug (Aux1, Aux2, Printer, Monitor, Computer) in the front of it???

Well, I've had mine since '94 I think. I'm still using it. Originally I had a 14" monitor sitting on top of it. It's had a 21" on it for about 5 years now.

The dang thing still works like a charm!
