what's the quietest powersupply? 400watts?

I built two computers last week for some clients and one had an Antec True Power 330, and the other a True Power 430. Both are quieter than my Antec POP3x 300 watt psu with 7volt moded fan. The thing to note is that the True Power PSU dose not have that large amount of open space you would normally see in a PSU. With the open space PSU's you get an annoying hum, which is caused by constant reverberation. The True Power PSU's eliminate this annoyance and also have slower spinning fan's. They are the quietest PSU's I have ever come by, not even the Enermax Whisper's are as quiet as the True Power's.

Another vote for the Antec TruePower, much quieter than my Emermax 'whisper' was.

I just installed a True Power 430W. IMO it is as quiet or quieter than the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 275 it replaced. It is also noticeably quieter than the Antec (non-True Power) 350 in my other box.

No, haven't had a chance to use the PC Power & Cooling, but I've had a chance to compare price's

As someone said, the quietest PSU may be the one you mod by yourself. You can buy a premodded Enermax from noisecontrol.de, however.

If you don't want to mod your PSU but want a cheap and quiet PSU, try Codegen. It has a single quiet fan. Also new Raidmax (aluminium one) seems to be quiet, as it doesn't have obtrusive grilles and grating.

Enermax is not quiet, and I don't know about Antec TP.
