Uhh, maybe because killing killers is what heros do. And everyone wants to play the hero. Well almost everyone. You gotta wonder about those misguided deviants that want to play the bad guy. They probably go on to create alter egos in forums on the internet and subsequently get banned. Or perhaps they go on to become Mods on ATOT and lock threads discussing dangerous phenomena involving microwave ovens and water that was meant to be a public service announcement, but was misconstrued as a dangerous science experiment.

well and the inhumanity of the germans was a tad more then the samuri, which are comparable to knights. the nazi's were a breakthrough in the scope of inhumanity possible. thats why its so easy to justify seeing them as killable.

The Japanese committed the same crimes as the Germans as far as testing human limits by subjecting prisoners of war to bizarre expiriments, cruel treatment of prisoners of war and civilians in occupied land, raping and torturing women, exporting women from captured territories to work as whores, indescriminate killing of civilians to make examples of them, etc.

If anything the Japanese were equal to the Germans. Quite possibly they committed worse crimes when you look at the big picture.

Then why aren't these WWII games set in Asia? The Japanese killed quite a few people as well. Why does it have to be a pc debate? Because is all about being PC and selling games. I also think that game developers use Nazis that there typically won't be any type of minority uproar over making some race/ethnicity look bad.

Okay, if someone made a game that targeted Jews, or minorities, simply for being Jews, or minorities, it is WRONG.

If someone targeted Germans living in the 1940's or beyond, simply because they are German it is WRONG.

IF someone targets Nazis, it is not. If someone targets characters from a game that represent terrorists (i.e. Islamic, etc.) it is not wrong either. The nazi's supported mass murders and gross human rights violations. To take one of them out is A GOOD thing for this world. To take out a Jew or Black or Arab simply for being a minority is wrong...

The games do not attack 'white' people. Many games have people of color that are being attacked. The Nazis were NOT representative of white people. Again, they were a political group that had mass appeal in Germany and parts of Italy from the early to mid and beyond 1900's.

And being representative of a race means they would have to represent everyone, or most people of a particular race, and most 'white' people were not supportive of the nazis.

Besides, I thought the Nazis' proclaimed themselves as the "Aryan" race. The true Aryans' aren't even white.

Postal2 is one odd game. You use a dead cat as a silencer. When you piss, it actually looks authentic. You can set fire to marching bands, elephants, other people.
