I know! Ricockulous*, isn't it? That's the suburbs for ya! Eden Prairie and Woodbury are a lot like that too. If there are going to be more KKs opening around here, I'd guess they're going into those areas next.

*BTW, if you're a Love Line fan, it's 97.1 at 11 PM in this area.

Since this is directed at me. I am definately no "fanboy" or whatever you wanna say. I just know that KK are far superior to DD and Shipleys.

Also to let you know, DD and Shipley are both in Nashville and i've had them a bunch of times also. I dont care for cake donuts as much as the KK yeast donuts. When you get a hot KK...it's rocks. I also like their maple and their filled's aren't bad. But I never cared for DD, Shipleys is probably better than DD (it's been awhile since ive had DD - but i remember them not being that good)...and KK is the best. This is just to let you know that i've evaluated all the choices...and i'm sticking with KK and i'm not a "fanboy" Personal Preference

Well, then how can you be so presumptuous as to claim that we "player haters" only like Dunkin Donuts because we were raised with them? I've evaluated all the "choices" as well, and I'll tell you that the best donut hands down comes hot from the oven at L&M's Bakery in Riverside, NJ. I've had plenty of Krispy Kremes and Dunkin Donuts and many others. Personal Preference.
If I'm a playa hata for being able to see through the KK hype, then you're a fanboy for not being able to see through it.

Well, Krispy Kreme started here in North Carolina, so maybe the ones in other states just don't know how to make 'em like we do. The KK donuts in gas stations and supermarkets IMO are NOT real KK donuts. A real KK donut is one that's hot out of the oven and the glaze hasn't hardened too much yet. Nothing beats a hot KK donut, especially if you need some extra energy for school. Sometimes I'd stop by at 7 AM when the big HOT sign is lit up, grab a couple dozen, and everyone in first period would be my best friend till the boxes were empty.
Though if you've watched the donut production line, it is kinda disgusting. The one in raleigh has this weird conveyor belt contraption that goes all around the building loaded with donuts until they reach the glazing area, which is just a huge hoselike think that drowns them in glaze. good++
I once ate 8 in a sitting though and got sick as a dog . I didn't like KK donuts for a couple weeks after that....

however, with all that said, I'm taking a trip over to KK right now

Wow, I find that VERY hard to believe. Im not saying youre wrong, but it just doesnt seem right

you can't compare the two. you get very little for your money from kk a bagel will fill you up nicely. 1 glazed kk? hah! its like eating only one oreo, but one that is made of pure fat thats why people eat several warm fat.. bah. the problem with kk is their other donuts aren't very special. they have their warm glazed, and everything else just about matches supermarket donut quality. all the stuffed donuts are cold. they have no kewl things like apple fritters or old fashioned donuts. they are a one trick pony

They are simply awesome. When our KK upgraded its store and added a drive-thru
they gave the first car through free donuts for a year! Lucky B4stard. Sad thing was I
didnt hear about that until some other car had been sitting there for 2 hours and was on the news

There is nothing like walking into KK at 3am and ordering a gross of donuts. Thats right 12 dozen
and what a hell of a LAN that was.
