I don't even know if my broker lets me buy stocks that aren't traded on the US exchanges, at least not easily.

But I should say "good call" here. 60 -> 96 is a significant rise.

Yea, same thing here, I inquired about getting access and never got a response lol.

When will it take off?

Perhaps in 10 years time.

I think it will be much sooner than that for one simple reason, all the major players see this for what it is and they are gonna RUSH this tech to get ahead in the game.
It is a gamechanger I firmly believe that.
If I were to compare it to anything it would be when the first Voodoo card hit the market, we all stood in awe at what this beast could do next to the standard software rendering we were used to. Everyone who had tried it, seen it, were not in doubt. 3Dfx was a game changer. I had the same WOW feeling when I tried the vive.
(and ill get my very own in ... 20 days. Yay)

Well AMD is certainly betting big. They're selling their cards for 200 to lay the foundation for VR

Holy cow!!! Now at 5.18. Absolutely amazing. Up 2.7x from Feb.

Kind of reminds me of the tech bubble though. Huge gains in stock prices (% wise at least for AMD) and no positive earnings yet. I thought at the lows AMD would make some gains, but nothing like this. Didnt have the guts to put any money into it.

Well things are looking good for the folks in red, AMD stock has gotten 2 upgrades to a "buy" in the past 2 days as more analysts are jumping on board and saying good things are coming from AMD. All the power to em, hope their new graphics cards and Zen really are a success. So...if you owned AMD stock in February you would have seen 150% in returns and if AMD hits $6 that's a 200% return on your investment! Just crazy!

Hope the trend continues! Only wish I had bought more when I had a little extra cash. Still I cannot complain, so far this year my portfolio is doing well (Thanks AMD): Portfolio G/L ($|%): 164.38%

These two charts seem to indicate that it is something the market sees on the CPU rather than on the GPU side. AMD has made serious gains vs INTC but almost nothing vs NVDA. If polaris is a home run then the 2nd chart could spike too and much further upside could be realized.

That is more a function of nVidia doing relatively better that intel, is it not?
We have a lot more information (well, leaks and speculation mostly) on AMD graphics/console/semi-custom/VR products than on Zen.

I would be very cautious now with AMD. Historically, when everyone starts to say something is going up, and up, is when it starts to decline>

Many of those "trading laws" were allowed to leave my mind long ago, as I did never see a use in them over rolling dice. People talk it up, as long as it goes up, because it did so until then. ^^ And "analysists" try to explain the moves afterwards by using anything popping up in their mind, that fits. Worse than sports commentaries by less educated laymen. ^^

Currently I'm only analyzing intraday price movements (also to get the bigger picture). Now my cash is back to the same level as before starting this round of AMD trading. At the same time I'm still earning money with the highest amount of AMD shares I ever had. ^^

Even if AMD's gpus are good they won't make much inroads in HPC but if zen is good, it'll help a lot with servers/datacenters. While gpu and semi-custom has helped AMD remain alive, cpu will help them to pay their debt.
Edit - And this is an area (servers/datacenters) where low clocks don't matter for most of the market.
