What's with the craptastic hair "style" now days of shaggy, greasy hair?

I don't have a problem with longer hair if it's well kept, and I don't have time to look for pictures and I'm not about to google for young mens' haircuts either, but you know the style I'm talking about. It's like the teenage boys now just don't get haircuts and then throw a bunch of gel or something in their hair. My favorite is when it starts to curl up on the split end around the ears and curls up a little on the forehead too. It's like a big greasy bowl cut but with the added flair of oily ends. Then it sits on their head like a greasy unwashed shih-tzu further worsing their already poor complexion. Why don't kids get haircuts anymore?!? I'm I getting old?

Seriously though, I don't think its that big a thing. I know girls who ONLY date guys with longer hair. Maybe they are fewer, but taste and opinion vary all over. Otherwise fat women would never get any.

Besides, whats with the double standard?? Women are constantly crying about these in society, and yet its OK for a women to have short hair?? Come on. Women drool over fabio and he just looks like a i love you. If I see a girl with short hair, I pretty much dismiss it to lesbianism. No, i'm kidding (kinda) but that doesn't mean girls with short hair don't get laid. I personally just think its nasty looking and "dikish" but thats just me. I'm not about to say its some sort of 100% thing.

Odd, I've got shoulder length shaggy locked hair and no joke, at least a third of the girls who meet me say something along the lines of "you have the coolest hair I've ever seen" and about half of those girls follow up with a "I know this is going to sound weird, but can I play with your hair?"
