I'm a Christian; I'm not perfect. I don't go around trying to legislate others to live their lives how I think they should. I'm not out there trying to blame the problems with marriage on others. I'm not out there discussing how precious marriage is, then going through a bitter divorce.

Well you could be of the mind that marriage is precious and unfortunately your wife may not and you still end up going through a bitter divorce against your will. You are accusing in your tone and mightily unfairly. I don't think there should be any such thing as divorce at all.

If Christians are so imperfect, why do they constantly claim they own the moral high ground? Wouldn't more modesty be appropriate? For some reason, Delay, Wolfawitz, Rummy, Bush, Hastert, Lott, Gingrich, all come across as narrow, screeching bigots, not as "imperfect" Christians.

I mean, in contradistinction, I'm perfect, so I feel it is my DUTY to tell you guys how to lead your lives, vote, drive, think, eat, etc.

You guys want it both ways.

No, I think its more evidence that people do not take marriage as seriously. Higher divorce rates seem to be a problem more than gay marriages. I also people believe that people who are not allowed to marry, tend to take marriage more seriously than those who are allowed.
