i bought a thunderbird processor 1.4Ghz about almost a month ago. Since i've been using it the system information indicated that the maximum speed of the processor is 1200Mhz. This actually puzzles me as if i've been cheated for buying not a genuine 1.4Ghz processor. Currently i'm using WINME as an operating system for my pc. I've decided to use the ASUS A7V133-C motherboard with my 256Mhz PC100 SDRAM.
The processor's temperature will rise up to 65'C if I overclocked it to 1.4Ghz but it will only max up to 57'C if I used the default 1050Mhz. I suspect that the processor is also causing my running programs to automatically shut down. How do I know if my processor is genuinely an AMD t-BIRD 1.4Ghz? what i've noticed is that there is a stamp that wrote 1400 on it. PLEASE HELP ME.
