28 mpg on 2002 RAV4

Who said SUV burns too much gas? Most sports car will give less mpg. (I am not trying to start another SUV debate)

56L of diesel put in the tank

I have a 2003 Audi A4 3.0 Quattro. The trip computer says that I average 17.5 MPG in town, and 22 MPG on the highway. Not bad, considering that it isn't broken in yet.

My old '99 Cougar V6 averaged 18 MPG in town, and 28 MPG on the highway.

93 Nissan Sentra

I get about 42 highway
I'm sure it's less than that in the city but I only figure my mileage when I go on trips.

ACTUAL: 20-22 average. (Drive like a "poophole")

Yea no kidding! I tried driving like a grandma on a long trip using premium gas and I got 25 on the highway w/o AC.

Maybe I'm getting MPG because I use the cheapo 87 octane instead of the recommmended 92

Between 38mpg worst case, and about 48mpg, depending on temp, load, speed, and quality of fuel. Low 40's is normal.

81 VW Pick-Up diesel, with 557,000 miles.

Long live the diesel...

22-28mpg in my 95 Eclipse GST... 24 is typical for my usual mix of more local than highway.
Once got down to 19mpg by running 3 consecutive autocrosses on the same tank of gas. Mmmmm... spoool...

I've been driving this Honda Civic I bought for my wife. She can get 40-42MPG in this thing on her highway journeys. I can't get 30 in a semi rural suburban area. Guess I feel sorry for the guy that we sell this car to
