What's your average daily household internet usage?

ATT seems to think we use excessive data, I think we're just a normal household. We use ~10GB per day, some days we may hit 75GB.
We're a family of 5, heavy Netflix and other VOD services. We used another ~125GB of mobile data last month. Is this not normal now?

125GB per month on mobile? WTF? Your kids consist of 12-16 year old boys hunting porn on the go?

Crazy thing is its 50% Twitter! I personally never use Twitter but the rest of the family uses it constantly. The rest is a mix of Netflix and facetime/skype.

Right now it's about 20gb a day. Once the boys head back to school in a week that will drop almost in half. They are heavy users over the summer.

During the past few months my wife and I averaged 9GB/day on our home internet. We don't use much mobile data.

I do the major d/l and the average is ~ 300 GB per month, uncapped service, mostly Usenet binaries (movies, TV shows).

We use about 500gb per month on comcast.

About 2 gb per month on mobile data, most of that is me.

50 or 60 pornos, Metallica's complete catalog torrented to 10,000 users in the Ukraine, a few emails to the government threatening a violent coup if they don't get those black helicopters out of my airspace, you know, just normal stuff.

Take the phones away from your kids and take them hiking. Get your wife a gym membership. Everyone wins.

Pfsense got rid of the RRD graphs in an update a while back, which pissed me off since I liked that feature, so I have no way to measure. I'd say I probably use close to 20GB/day though but it's just an uneducated guess. I do have various backup jobs and such and have an ads-b basestation that sends out data constantly and other stuff like that which continuously sips bandwith. Adds up.

125gb/mo is really a lot, but IMO if you have an unlimited plan the company should suck it.

There's no reason why 10GB/day is abnormal for a family with children. Wife and I probably use 2 GB/day average.

Just a couple 4K streams will burn through bandwidth pretty easily.

I hate Comcast and Verizon equally. I've had Comcast since they purchased @home in the last 90's. We had such fast internet with @home. Then years later Comcast suddenly decided that their "unlimited" data plan was unfair and they would rather put a cap at 300bg. Really?? I had another problem with them charging me for a service I cut off, for eight months and they kept charging me every month and eventually cut my cable because I wouldn't play 1k in charges for services I cut off. They said it was a "code on my account that kept turning on tv service and charging me. Lol. Idiots.

Verizon? I had unlimited data until they cut it off and made me pay for my own phone in full. Fine, I did so and eventually had to change my family plan to a shared data plan. Because Verizon decided that unlimited wasn't really unlimited. Now two years later those asshole now have unlimited? But I can't cancel because I had to resign up a phone a year ago, two years after losing my unlimited data plan. WTF. Verizon are the worst. I can't cancel now, but I will ASAP.

The point is that monopolies abuse their customers at will and there isn't anything you can do. Wonderful.

Comcast introduced their 1 TB (1024 GB) limit here last November. Over the past 9 months, average of 32.1 GB per day.
