20 euros for two contracts
One 2GB smartphone (unlimited national calls and European SMS) and one unlimited national calls/sms + unlimited-limited-to-their-app-social-networks usage phone contract. (Of course only national data...)
That's with a 30% employee rebate though, and with phones bought cash. (500 for a GN2 and 130 for a Nokia C5)
Contract goes month-to-month, with no severance pay or anything.
The French mobile market got mixed up pretty badly last year.

Oh, forgot to mention: VoIP is permitted, tethering is free, etc.

My phone personally cost me about... let's see... $3.00/month since I just put $10 on it and use it about never.

My wife's I pay about $28/month for 1200m/3000t/250MB data.

Both are Android phones.

$86/month for 2 lines, unlimited everything. Straight Talk

Essentially what I'm doing. I'm glad I did, because the $140 a month for 500 shared mins, 2GB data, 200mb data and unlimited messaging was ridiculous. My wife was flipping out...

Getting the bill down to $85-86 let me keep my iPhone (as well as hers) and got her off my back about it all. Money extremely well spent.

I use a lot of data. My work won't allow me to connect to WiFi. My contract with big red ends in June. My only gripe is I like the HTC one that's coming out soon. I just need a good phone because in my area we have cricket, straight talk, metro, many others where I could save paying almost $90 a month just for one phone with lousy minutes.

$30 plus taxes/junk fees ~ $35 for 500 anytime minutes and unlimited data/text/etc.

SERO forever.

With you on SERO! But I get my work phone paid for with ATT, shared minutes equals somewhere around 700 mins per person, unlimited everything else (old ATT plan) = $0 to me

I have considered giving up my SERO, but I just cant bring myself to kill it off. Thinking of going SERO Premium, but not worth it now with my work phone,

I have a great plan

$41.50 + Tax with Virgin Mobile Canada ($45 Gold Plan minus 10% discount for owning my own phone)

400 Minutes Canada Wide Calling
Unlimited Incoming Calls
Unlimited Outgoing Calls Canada Wide after 5pm and Weekends
Unlimited Texting
Call Display and Voicemail 10
1GB of LTE Data

Not bad at all.

Plan is actually available now in Canada - It comes up a couple times a year - used to be 500 MB of data but they upped it.

About $65.
Mobile packages are pretty bad in the great white north.
1GB data (mostly only use it on WiFi)
Free after 5, free weekends, 10 favorite numbers. It has some good perks but I consider it pretty expensive. Can't find much better though is the problem.

Approximately $23/month for two smartphones (my wife's and mine). We buy $80 cards from PagePlus and use wi-fi for practically all our data. Two $80 cards last roughly 7 months.

$37/mo after all taxes & fees etc.

If that's not the cheapest (apart from prepaid) I'm going to want to know about it.

How about per person? that is the best measure.

Straight Talk $49/mo. Its not "unlimited" per se if you are a heavy user, but I like the fact I will never be charged extra fees if I blow the limit.

I like how with Verizon I could come on here and say "I pay $44/mo per line!" but in reality I've blown minutes a few times, I could really only call other Verizon phones, so it was restrictive AND I was probably paying more like $55-60/mo for a dumb phone with no data plan and fees out the wazoo. No Thanks.

While I tend to agree with your statement... I had been a long time ST customer of 5 yrs and loved the no-commitment unlimited txt/talk/data of ST but it was severely annoying at times when I would magically find out my service lapsed (even though I have auto-refill) and my phone would magically issue me a new number and people wouldn't be able to reach me.

After having this happen to me three or four times and unsuccessfully be able to find non-GSM phones (verizon uses CDMA) in the store that I could purchase to guarantee my "piggy-backing" on a network with ST would be done with verizon (since their coverage is great) I went into the verizon store and explained my concerns and questioned my options...

They wanted to wrangle me into a whole two-year contract etc etc etc.. I said no. They said I could get the pre-paid option and get a nicer phone and do the auto-bill pay I asked if I could get it for the same amount as ST, they claimed there's was $50/mo not $45/mo, so i asked what else they could give me to make up for the difference... then.... I got something not even ST offers, they volunteered to install the verizon backup assistance utility on my phone, which backs up all my stuff at a interval set by me (which is pretty darn useful if you've ever lost/damaged your phone and needed to move or keep all that stuff...)

Oh one important thing.. their data is not unlimited but it is a pre-paid plan, it comes with 300MB month. which is more than enough for me as I only use my phone to txt and talk. maybe a photo or two but nothing extreme to go over 300mb. so for an extra $5 more than I am used to paying I am glad to gain the feature of backup assist app.

What's wrong with you people paying more than $20 a month? You are getting hosed big time.

I pay 15 euros a month and get data, texts, and calls. If I want to do long distance I use a SIP app on my iPhone.
