Its not so bad since I get reimbursed for a phone + data plan ( about $100/month) but still, I would love to get my parents off the dumbphone but refuse to pay extra for a data plan they will never use. They like the free mobile to mobile so prepaid won't work.

I've read it's not truly "unlimited", but I've never got charged extra or hit a limit for any of the data/web I use. One of the best decisions I've made regarding cellphones has been to switch from Verizon to Straight Talk.

I don't see a problem with it, especially with AT&T users.

4 people with individual plans would reach $350+, while a family plan would put it around $220-$250. What's wrong with splitting a family plan?

I'm looking into splitting off to the new TMobile plans that were just announced. Two people with unlimited talk, text, and 2.5 GB for $100.
