Not sure how to factor in my student loans since I'm not paying on them yet (still in college). Without student loans taken into account I'm at 5%, with them... well, I don't know if I want to know

I guess I have a much higher "back-end ratio" I suppose than actual debt. My mortgage is done. Car payments are done. I'm only paying insurance and property tax. Utilities is pretty much the only type of bill that clobbers me yearly.

$800 rent (which cant even get you an apartment here) would be ~20% of a 40K year job. Now add in CCs and car loans...

0% here, as I don't consider things like utilities / property taxes / strata fees to be debt. They are ongoing expense items.

32%. On a meal plan with apartment paid up front from savings and tuition paid by scholarship. Make about $1,300 a month and have bills amounting to around $400-$500 a month. Unfortunately right now every cent left goes to my grandparents bills. (Water pump went out in there well. $1,200 to replace). So money's pretty tight right now.

Mine is 27%. Mortgage (incl taxes) and student loans are my only debt.

Yep my mistake/misunderstanding (i used full monthly debt - included utilities - then instead of gross put in take home amount - i really didnt read before posting ) 5% is what i ment to put
