Speaking of Boston Lager.... Taken about an hour ago.

Got to try the Brick Red, 26.2, Boston Lager and Summer. The 26.2 is made with salt - was actually pretty damn good.

Hey CraKaJaX,

You lucky dog! I may have to plan a trip just to taste test the delicious lager that Adams makes.

You

You need to work on your priorities. My liquor store is 30 miles away.

Even if i could find a big beer store in the nearest big town which is over 30 miles away,i wouldn't know what to buy anyways. I don't spend much and often times a $4 pint of T.W Samuels works.Mix with RC cola and its good to go.

Maybe the most exotic beer i tried was Bass, stout but pretty decent.Found that in the town over in a little market.Heineken is good too but i never seen 30 packs of either and that is what i go for.

We have beer locally, its that stupid O'Douls non-alcohol beer.Imagine a store in a dry county carrying non-alcoholic beer.Do people buy that or caffeine free Coke?Sugar free gummy bears?

My summertime beer in a can - Miller Lite.

I really enjoy craft beers and stick mainly to IPA's.
Current favorites include:
Sculpin
Hoppy Birthday
Soul Style
Torpedo
Back in Black
Beer Camp

I really enjoy California liquor prices - for all the things we are highly taxed on alcohol is not one of them.

30 packs of Bud, Miller, Coors are a consistent $17.99. Keystone, Busch, Nat Light 30-packs are $14.99.

The only good lite beer, except maybe for Coors and even then i would prefer Miller.Big family events there is usually so much bud lite you could fill a swimming pool and its alright but damn so watered down.

For a refreshing everyday beer, can't go wrong with Falcon

It's one of the "macro lagers" in Sweden (now owned by Carlsberg), which means you can find it everywhere, but IMO it's the best one. Slightly more flavor than the others, while remaining very easy to drink and refreshing with no weird metallic aftertaste like so many others have.

If I want something with a bit more flavor, perhaps during fall or in the winter, it's a tough call between Fuller's London Pride and their ESB. I have to go with London Pride though, due to the more balanced flavor at the cost of slightly less "bite" from the hops. But it's almost perfectly balanced.

By consumption it would be anything New Belgium.

Lately I've really enjoyed Lagunitas Daytime Fractional IPA

Karbach is good stuff too.

Fat tire is probably my go to, and as I mentioned, chimay blue is probably my fave (I love me some strong belgian dark ales) but as someone else also mentioned, new belgium's 1554 is ermagerd good. Dark, toasty, amazing, not too hoppy. Also, Sam Adam's black lager. Damn gina.

Racer 5 has been my favorite for the last couple years. Though I've had a few craft beers that are very good.
I'm pretty much a teetotaler, but I like IPA, so I get a pretty good buzz off of a pint.

I can't stand Fat Tire, or many other of New Belgium's ales. They all have an odd taste to me - maybe it's that "toasty" thing you mention. But there's a very cloying common taste to them all that I find off.

This is what I'm having tonight: Full Sail's Session Golden. Really quite good.

Most surprising thing about it to me is the packaging. Kind of a very plain "Joe Sixpack" look to it. I think the idea is that it's an uncomplicated session beer (which is just craft-beer-speak for "please drink a lot of them") and they feel they need to convey that in the label.

Full Sail Amber is my current favorite.

Although,Kona Longboard Lager is a close second.

(for dark beers,I'd pick Deschutes Black Butte Porter.)

Hey fellow brew connoisseurs,

Why don't we agree to have our favorite glass one night at a specific time and meet back here and enjoy? I will bring Mr. Adams Boston Lager with me. We can sit back and make fun of the world and giggle like a gaggle of schoolgirls.

It was a decent tour. Probably 40 minutes start to finish with the tasting included. I didn't realize the Brick Red is only available in the city of Boston. The 26.2 is only brewed and available around the marathon which happens to be tomorrow. Both were really good.

I like Sam Adams Boston lager for mass produced stuff. I also like ranger ipa, but can't drink more than one of those in a sitting.

We could make things more interesting and have a mass brew video chat. Unfortunately some of us might get wasted (I would probably crack open a bottle of something from The Bruery that sits around 25.4oz of 15-20%)

We probably should make a new thread and get the moderators to be lenient.

Hey XabanakFanatik,

What about this Thursday night at 9 PM EDT, that's 6PM PDT? That'll give everyone time to pick up his favorite brew and plan for it. Anyone else interested?

That sounds reasonble to me. Whether we make a thread or have a video chat, I'm down.

Samuel Smiths Nut Brown Ale - Good even warm.

Most IPAs, Dogfish Head, Harpoon, Konas Firerock, ect.

Hate Samuel Adams anything. I try one once in a while just to see if my taste has changed and it hasnt.

Really, I'll drink most any beer if its ice cold.

I'm all over the map, but generally like IPAs. Pliny is probably my favorite, though I hate how fast it changes with age.

Another favorite is the Westy 12. Good stuff.
