Hoffbrau is my go to. Samuel Smith makes an excellent Porter, Nut Brown Ale and Oatmeal Stout. Celebrator (made by Ayinger) is a fantastic dopplebock. If based on price then St. Pauli Girl. I am not a fan of IPA's.

That thing is amazing. As is almost everything from Ayinger though. One of my fav breweries.

I had a Maharaja from Avery over the weekend on tap. That was a great heavy imperial IPA.

My favorite beers are from craft brewers available locally to me; Flying Dog - The Truth, Blood Orange, Heavy Seas - Loose Cannon and Double Cannon, and Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA. I would probably love the 90 Minute too but it's 4 beers for like 15 bucks.

When I am not drinking IPAs I like Trippel Belgium Style Ale or Yuengling.

I'd say these are the best beers I ever had.

Last year, when I was in Bruges, I tried every beer I could find on the store shelves. They had some amazing Leffe varieties, outside the regular dark and blonde.

Also, when I was in Burlington VT, I tried the famous local Heady Topper. While it was tasty and rich, I'm not exactly a fan of the extreme hoppyness some people seem to favour.

Here in Quebec, they make some great beers (like Fin du Monde some have already mentioned)... but I also find that too many of them have a disappointing finish and a bland smoky aftertaste.

St. Bernardus Abt 12 for days I'm feeling snobby. Miller High Life in bottles for hot summer days.

These are two of my faves.

Worldwide stout is indeed awesome. Its like the offspring of a a belgian quad and a double stout... mmmmmm

The Worldwide stout sounds interesting but I doubt I will try it as I generally don't like Dogfish head beers. My experience with Dogfish Head is that they do everything to the extreme. There is no middle ground or subtlety to their beer. Want an IPA? Dogfish head makes some of the hoppiest damn IPA around. Want a sour beer? Dogfish Head makes one so sour that all of your body's orifices will pucker simultaneously on the first sip. Now it seems they are taking that mentality to the stout - which is a perfectly fine genre in and of itself and doesn't need to be extremified by brewing it with a "ridiculously high amount of barley" as advertised on the label.

After all the hype around Dogfish Head's IPA, I was quite disappointed. Way too sweet and malty for an IPA (for my likes, anyway). Would not buy again.

Worldwide stout is indeed along the "extreme" variety of things.

As far as their IPAs go, their 120 minute IPA is extreme, but I'm quite fond of their 90 minute IPA or their 60 minute IPA (but I'm not an IPA guy.)

They do have more subtle options, I love some of their ancient ales, for example, their sah'tea is super drinkable, it's probably got more in common with twisted tea than with most beers though ....

Bass is probably my favorite...ever since I was 21.

My taste changes day to day...but my wallet influences what I actually drink. Since I drink at home more these days, I tend to go with American Lagers due to cost and the fact I can buy by the case....they're drinkable and get the job done. I'm happy with Blue Ribbon, Yeungling (can), Miller Lite, Coors (can), Tecate(can), Budweiser... Yeungling in a can is much different in the bottle because UV seeps through the green glass and skunks the beer. So favorite out of those? Probably Coors in the can if it's hot outside and I have the 80's channel on.

I also like more expensive brews like Bass, Modelo, Sam Adams Oktoberfest, Summer Ale, Boston Lager, and the broad spectrum of microbrews. I'm not big on IPAs or beers with too much acidity....the problem is that too many bar owners sell that stuff because local beer drinkers think they're drinking something special (as if they'd never had a bitter beer). It's how the youngsters are trying to be sophisticated beer drinkers...they are drinking microbrews and pretending they know something about beer when the bittering hops they pretend to love are merely a preservative that's abused and no longer needed. I've not found many of them that I like better than Red Hook ESB or something mainstream....plus, the hops occasionally give me a sore throat after round 3, so I stick to the session beers, but to each his own.

Spaten Oktoberfest is good, but a skunked beer (green glass if I remember correctly), Spaten Lager is also good.... I prefer both of those out of the keg, if available. Warsteiner and Warsteiner Dunkel....yes...good stuff.
Asahi Super Dry is a great Japanese brew, along with Sapporo. I really like Kirin in the 16oz can, but have to drink it in the sun since it's another skunked brew.

I've been really liking the "left of the dial" IPA from Notch up in Salem Mass. 12 cans for around 16 bucks at the farm store down the road and it is ridiculously tasty.

If I had to pick an overall favorite, based on enjoyability, overall consumption and value, I'd say Pilsner Urquell.
