That would be 7PM Thursday here. I think I'm doing laundry then. That's the night I do my whites.

Seriously... Never heard of a making a drinking date for an internet forum. If I want to drink with someone, I walk down to the local pub and ogle the pretty young things and sing songs and get into arguments with the other drunk patrons. Have I been doing it wrong?

Yeh Carson, we plan on starting a new thread and making fun of the world whilst we enjoy our favorite brew.

Any Doppelbock. I will try any and I will love most. There have only been a couple I haven't loved. So I think You would have been better asking beer type/genre.

I'm with 'ya here. In Munich and Berlin, working as the cook in kneipen (bars), I made all I could drink Dopplebocks a key part of my working conditions.

One of my favorite Brown Ales is Brooklyn Brown. It isn't so much a craft brew nor micro brew anymore, but isn't mainstream either.

Good description of Brooklyn.

Youngs Double Chocolate Stout
One of my all time faves.

Samuel Smiths Nut Brown Ale
Oh my, yes!

Hate Samuel Adams anything.
Can't say I agree. I find most of their beers decent for what they are.

Really, I'll drink most any beer if its ice cold.
It is the dirty secret that many American piss lagers go down ok enough if they're chilled to near freezing. Not Bud though. Never Bud.

But I came in here to say I'm currently in love with Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Ale.

2015 Goose Island BCBS with a 2015 Deschutes Abyss being a close second.

I just got back from a trip to AZ and scored some Firestone Bravo, Goose Island 2016 BCBS, 2016 Barleywine and a couple praire bombs, which I'm excited to try. Oh and I have a case of Lagunitas High Westified Imperial coffee stout a friend picked up in Reno that should be here next month..So hopefully I'll have a new #1.

BTW Saturday is KBS release outside of Michigan right? (with the exception of Utah of course so F me) My sister is in Vegas this week leaving Friday of course so I'm gonna miss a chance at those and the Firestone Parabola. grr

ZOMG, that sounds good! I've been quite impressed with the brewery, even for only ever having had their Pilsner and Little Sumpin' Ale. Their web site is done with rare good humor as well.

Ya..Im super excited to try them I've been trying to get some for close to a year now...I like a lot of their beers...some can be a little one note with the hops but their stouts are always tasty and I agree, they have one of the better websites and its easy to find their beers using it,

Founder's Breakfast Stout is quite tasty.

Just about anything Founders is a win. Their Breakfast Stout is excellent as is their porter and centennial IPA. I've got the "Dirty Dozen" which is a 12 pack of their Dirty Bastard scotch ale in my fridge. Which is also very tasty.

Hoffbrau is my go to. Samuel Smith makes an excellent Porter, Nut Brown Ale and Oatmeal Stout. Celebrator (made by Ayinger) is a fantastic dopplebock. If based on price then St. Pauli Girl. I am not a fan of IPA's.

St. Bernardus Abt 12 for days I'm feeling snobby. Miller High Life in bottles for hot summer days.

Several restaurants here have started stocking Peroni from Italy. Not bad with a meal but not a premium priced beer IMHO. Havent tried it stand alone as of yet.

Depends on the style. If I had to pick ONE to rule them all though, it would be Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout. Pure deliciousness.

If I could pick one per style, the short list would look like this:

1. IPA - Heady Topper
2. Belgian dark ale - Gouden Carolus Noel
3. Stout - Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout
4. Porter - Maple Bacon Coffee Porter (Funky Buddha)
5. German Alt/Brown Ale: Tuckermen's Headwall Alt.

Right now my favorite beer is one I haven't even tasted yet, at least judging by how preoccupied I've been with it lately. It's the cream ale I have fermenting in the closet at home. We'll see if that holds out after it's bottled and carbonated.

Well, that sounds very interesting.
We don't get Dogfish Head here, unfortunately, so I'll have to look for it next time I'm traveling.
