Too bad I don't have a garden where I could try my hand at growing the rarest Chili Peppers in the World. Which ones are rarest ones anyway?

I guess that makes Tabasco worse than no hot sauce at all?
Tabasco is the reference Louisiana hot sauce. It's what all others aspire to be, and fail at. You can say you don't like Louisiana style hot sauce, and that's fine; strange, but fine. You *can't* say Tabasco is a poor Louisiana hot sauce. That's objectively wrong.

I can say I like Texas Pete, and that I would throw Tabasco in the trash if it were given to me.

I will go out of my way to buy Tabasco instead of Louisiana hot sauce as it has a great flavor profile.

I agree. Just for sake of clarity though, when I say "Louisiana hot sauce", I mean the general region, and not Louisiana™ brand. Louisiana™ is one of also-rans that tried to match Tabasco and failed.

Even so, Tabasco is way more enjoyable then any Louisiana hot sauce I have tried. They basically have Heat without any Flavor.

The World's Spiciest Foods

Mad Dog 357 No. 9 Plutonium, produced by Ashley Foods, is 1,125 times spicier than the hottest jalapeño pepper. It’s made from 60% pure capsicum extract, and that’s it. The heat level is so extreme that the packaging comes with big bold lettering on the side warning customers to use as a food additive only. It should not be consumed straight under any circumstances, and don’t go sloshing this stuff on your tacos. If you do, you’ll regret it.

This product is one of the purest, hottest, most concentrated pepper extracts on Earth. It’s named after plutonium after all — a radioactive and highly explosive element crucial to atomic bombs. According to reviews on Amazon, the violent burn can last 45 minutes on the dose of a single drop.

“This tastes like pure hatred,” one Amazon reviewer said. “The first 15 minutes are almost panic inducing, but then the endorphins kick in and it’s a progressively pleasant burn. This is exactly as advertised and worth every penny.”

“I have survived, my mouth has returned from the test of hell and one day I hope my sense of taste will return with it,” another wrote. “I refused to follow the light, I am alive. Now I fear the worst, as there will come a time that I will need to use the restroom. For this I fear the most, I must choose a God as I may soon may be forced to speak with them. I must prepare.”

If you’re brave enough to try it, head to Ashley Foods' website or Amazon, where it’s currently on sale for $109.99 (normally $129.99). It’s just 1 fluid ounce, which sounds tiny, but it’ll last because you don’t need more than a drop at a time. Seriously. Don’t use more than that or you could hurt yourself. Looking for something insanely spicy, but not quite that spicy? Take your pick from the world’s hottest hot sauces.

Nice necro.
;thumbs up;

Although I grew up in NOLA and lived there 36 years I never really got into the hot sauce. I’m getting into it now.

agreed!1 Even though taboasco does have a little itty bitty amount of flavor...it has virtually no heat!!
Bullshit!!! Unless you are well used to consuming Reapers and Stingers types raw and straight, Tabasco does indeed have both great flavor and rather nice heat. And folks who eat the former are sort of on the rare side.

you must have sissy taste buds......I`m just saying this is a thread about HOT sauce.....
I consider Tabasco a flavorful sauce at best!
Just for a reference point -- the jalapeno has a Scoville unit rating of 2,500 to 8,000.
he flagship red variety of Tabasco pepper sauce measures 2,500–5,000 SHU on the Scoville scale.
As opposed to my favorite HOT sauce -- Melinda’s Original Naga Jolokia Pepper Sauce is pure heat. Our hottest offering by far, the Naga Jolokia is confirmed by the Guinness Book of Records to be the hottest chili in the world (1,041,427 Scoville Units), unseating the Red Savina for the title.

Personally there is something very flavorful that I like about Texas Pete`s! It is excellent on scrambled eggs!!
Texas Pete is fairly mild, registering 747 on the Scoville heat scale. Its auxiliary branded Hotter Hot Sauce is claimed to be three times hotter than original Texas Pete. Texas Pete also makes a sautéed garlic hot sauce

Excuse me but Tabasco pepper is way hotter then only 5,000 SHU.

Hahahaa...not hardly -- https://www.tabasco.com/hot-sauces/original-red-sauce/
Taken from their web site and we are talking about Tabasco Brand Original Red Sauce --
Scoville Rating: 2500 - 5000

A “Scoville Heat Unit” is a measure of capsaicin - the chemical in peppers responsible for their heat.

So calm down and consider yourself schooled!

Interesting necro here...way more active after the fact.

Anyway, without reading all the replies I'm throwing chipotle peppers out there.
Specifically in adobo sauce, just toss it all in a blender for a thick strong smokey flavored sauce with a mild bite.
If you want something spicier just sprinkle capsaicin powder into a nice oil (like sesame) and add that to the mix.

Why not just make a few cuts in some chili peppers and put them in oil instead? I'm sure the resulting spicy oil will be far tastier then using capsaicin powder.
