Having just read the whole thread, I have to chime in and say something.
MOST OF YOU PEOPLE ARE EFFING DUMBASSES!
The relevant definition of obscure is "Of undistinguished or humble station or reputation"
How do ANY of the below apply?
Boondock Saints
Boiler room
Wallstreet
Blow
Man on Fire
The Blues Brothers
Batman I & II
Beetlejuice
Amelie
Mulholland Falls
Hudson Hawk
Red Dawn
Fear and loathing in las vegas
So I Married An Axe Murderer
The Machinist
Time Bandits
Glengarry Glen Ross
The Sting
Blazing Saddles
Das Boot
Star Wars
Spanish Prisoner
Young Frankenstein
Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels
Those in bold I've never even heard of, so some of them are obscure to me. I think you also missed that someone a few above you mentioned Snatch, which is also by no means an obscure movie
As far as my favorite obscure movie, that's pretty hard. Equilibrium, which is my favorite movie, was pretty obscure when I first saw it, now it's getting alot of recognition but there's still alot of people I know of who had never heard of it until I made them watch it.
I'll vote for Dead Alive, a very early, very bad Peter Jackson film.
