what's your favorite Quake?

Quake2 in the end had the best teamplay/deathmatch games, but Quake1 was my favorite - cant beat 2Fort4 Quake1 Team Fortress on a Diamond Monster 3D - sooo much fun!

Quake 1 without a doubt. Hands down. The others just totally fell short of the quality that was Quake 1. Then, of course, there was Team Fortress.

Action(mod) for Quake 2 was da $H!T in the day
Super Heros(mod) for Quake was one of the things that got me started
Quake 3 well I didn't care much for and didn't play long but it looked good at the time.

UT stole Quake 3's shine IMO but don't remember which came first or how far apart they was from each other. Still alot of ppl played Quake 3 and prefered it.

GL Quake 1 started it all for me too. There were tons of fun single player maps I dowloaded and played. plus the original game, over and over and over....

Quake 1 without a doubt.
Didn't play through more than the first episode, then I discovered multiplayer, damn that was awesome, and if I may say so, I kicked quite a bit of ass back in the day

Quake 2 was definitely the best in terms of singleplayer, I've played through it a bunch of times, the music had a lot to do with this.
Action Quake was very cool.

Quake 3 was real nice, though I haven't played it in a long time, not as good as Quake 1 though.

My vote: Quake 1.

Because it was the only Quake to have coop! I played it through with a friend.. was hella fun too.

Duke Nukem 3D was my first experience with multiplayer internet gaming (Kali). Quake 1 was just brutal though.

Tough choice for me as Q1 was the original and started my obsession with computers, online gaming and being online in general, so i voted for it.
Played online mostly at Mplayer...lots of fun with my 0-10 pings.

Never liked q2 at all, the huge arse maps and retardedly slow RL made it suck for me.

Still to this day play Q3, I actively play a mod called Freeze Tag....its basically instagib with a team based theme where you freeze opponents and unfreeze your teammates.

q4 will be pretty but will suck like q2 did

I don't know if any of you guys played this mod, but I used to play it religously... Q3A: Weapons Factory Arena. A lot of people back then used to say that WFA came about before TeamFortress...either way, I think it was worlds better than TeamFortress. You had classes, soldier, medic, engineer, cyborg, spy(or maybe it was called assassin?). I was one of the best spies. Man, I remember the config I had...it was just insane. I miss that mod.


The soldier's grappling hook was one of my favorite things to play with, as well.


Watching two experianced soldiers duke it out (grappling hook + rocketlauncher) was amazing.
